Immortals defeat dignitas on Cache

Immortals take down dignitas after a hard fought battle on Cache (16-13) and now have a 1-1 record, while the European side is one loss away from elimination.

The Brazilians picked up the key rounds early in the game, with Vito "kNgV-" Giuseppe's fast flank helping Immortals retake A on the pistol, Ricardo "boltz" Prass locking down B in a 2v3 to secure the first buy and then clutching a 1v2 with an HE and incendiary combo, denying the plant.

The rounds kept coming down to 1v1 situations and after going down 8-0, Dignitas were finally able to get on the board by Ricardo "fox" Pacheco winning a clutch against kNgV-.

Immortals won a lot of clutches in the first half

The European's side luck didn't take a turn for better after that, as losing the following round left their economy in tatters, allowing Immortals to run away with the score. Lucas "steel" Lopes and co. finished the first half with a 13-2 lead, but ended up losing the pistol round as Jesper "TENZKI" Plougmann's 3K kickstarted Dignitas' comeback on the CT side.

Lucas "LUCAS1" Teles and co. struggled to pick up a round or even get a bomb plant after that, with the trio of fox, Joakim "jkaem" Myrbostad and TENZKI catching fire in the second half. In the 25th round, Henrique "HEN1" Teles finally got an opening, picking off the opposing AWPer fox towards B, his team followed it up with a B push and got themselves on the board as Terrorists, making it 14-11.

Dignitas got a few more rounds, but Immortals managed to cross the finish line with an A explosion and a mid-split that paid off, making the final score 16-13

So many 1v1 ' s , immt were winning 13-1 and still their money was really low, holy shit
2017-06-30 16:50
for a good reason, there were a lot of clutches, 1v1s at the end, overall dignitas was very unlucky on their T side.
2017-06-30 17:17
Why were they unlucky ?
2017-06-30 17:33
what I mean by "unlucky" is that they lost some crucial 1v1s due to timings, small errors, etc. That's how IMT took a huge advantage on DG's T side.
2017-06-30 17:39
Idk how much of clutches you can call 'luck', specially when they made mistakes, as you said.
2017-06-30 17:53
ex : 1v3 almost done from fox when he looks away where HEN1 was (timing) and gets killed. But there were a lot of clutches situations that Dignitas lose, and this explains the low amount of money : Players were not able to survive long to save much money throughout the rounds. That's just one example. Overall IMT was better.
