BIG move past Tengri at Major qualifier
BIG have joined the 1-1 pool of teams at the Main Qualifier for PGL Major Krakow after defeating Tengri 16-14 on Cobblestone.
The third match of the day featuring teams with a 0-1 record started with a very chaotic round that ultimately went to Tengri, who stopped BIG's A execution. The Kazakh team went on to pick up both anti-ecos and the first full gun round, but then BIG replied on a shoddy buy thanks to three key frags from Johannes "nex" Maget.
That round marked the start of a phenomenal run from BIG. Even though some of the rounds were a lot closer than they should have been, BIG kept Tengri from stringing rounds together and strolled to a 9-6 lead, with Johannes "tabseN" Wodarz finishing the half on 23 kills.
BIG further added to their lead after taking the pistol round as CT in convincing fashion. Tengri came close to winning the following round with a B execute, but Fatih "gob b" Dayik turned hero and clutched a 1v3 with three quick frags.
The German team kept pressing on, with the scoreline blooming to a 14-7 advantage for them. It looked like the match was about to come to an end, but then Tengri's offense came to life. Little by little, the Kazakh team closed the gap on their opponents, only to fall at the final hurdle. With a 1v2 clutch, tabseN put BIG on match point, and then he picked up a trio if kills in the 30th round to hand his team a ticket to the next round.
