Immortals to Major; HellRaisers out
Immortals beat HellRaisers, 16-13, on Overpass, to qualify to a Major for the first time.
The map started going HellRaisers’ way, as the European side took the pistol round after planting on A. The tables quickly turned, though, as Immortals won the foce buy in the following round to even it up and get the economic advantage. The Brazilian team then denied HellRaisers several attacks until Martin "STYKO" Styk stalled Ricardo "boltz" Prass long enough after a plant to win a second round, making it 5-2.
The half continued to go Immortals’ way, as the European combine couldn’t figure out a way to get passed the Brazilian side. With a 10-5 lead, the second half started really well for Immortals, who won the following pistol round, but a triple by Vladyslav "bondik" Nechyporchuk in the force buy kept HellRaisers in the game.
With the momentum and the economic game favoring them, HellRaisers started the comeback, tying the game up at 11-11 before Immortals called a timeout to regain composure. The timeout seem to work, as the Brazilians then retook the reins of the match, setting the pace and winning rounds thanks to methodical executes all the way to a 16-13.
