Liquid defeat Immortals in overtime

Liquid have gone 2-0 at ESL One Cologne after defeating Immortals 19-15 on Train.

The match began with Immortals getting out to a fast 8-2 lead on the CT side as the few rounds that Liquid edged out were immediately countered by the Brazilians. Josh "jdm64" Marzano then handed Liquid their third round of the game with a quad kill, with Russel "Twistzz" Van Dulken single-handedly winning the subsequent round with a quad kill of his own that included a 1v3 clutch.

Those two round losses left Immortals strapped for cash, and they were unable to find their footing again before the end of the half, letting Liquid bring the deficit to a minimum.

stanislaw & co are now 2-0 in Cologne

Now on the Terrorist side, Immortals regained control of the game and comfortably picked up the first five rounds of the half following big individual plays from Lucas "steel" Lopes.

The following two rounds went Liquid's way, but a quad kill from steel put Immortals on 14 rounds and reset the North Americans' economy. Still, Liquid hit back on a force buy, thanks to three quick kills from Peter "stanislaw" Jarguz, and they followed that up with three more rounds to bring the deficit to 14-13.

Immortals then hit match point, but their aggressive attempts to close out the map failed to produce any results as Liquid won the last two rounds to force overtime. After securing all three rounds on the CT side, the North Americans managed to lock down the map with an A execution, picking up their second victory in the tournament.

immortals is so frustating to watch, pugging all around playing like potatos on the t and ct ,side, they deserve for rekt. losing 1v4, 3v5 on the ct side, what could have been a 12-3, 11-4 for them become a 8-7 so fucking dumb team.

Optic, Liquid, Mouse and Nip 2:0??? Rofl so 2 of those tier 3/4 teams are already in playoffs rofl this system is retarded af. Or top teams just don't give a fuck about cologne anymore and don't wanna show strats to pussy scrubs Astralis who are probably analyzing every second of SK, Faze, G2 and Fnatic matches. Could be true since it is funny how 3 of 4 teams with 2:0 record are not gonna be in major.

TBH, from the matches I've watched from teams that will play the major, 90% of the time they are doing pug rushes as T, standard holds and positions CT, trying to play on opponents errors but are actually making the worst kind of shit possible. Big Field for individual plays and clutches. Also a horrible use of utilities is remarkable on this tournament so far.
