Tainted Minds sign ap0c and kyoto
Tainted Minds have officially confirmed the additions of former Winterfox player, Mike "ap0c" Aliferis and ex-AVANT member, Dylan "kyoto" Brown.
Two weeks ago saw the departure of Jay "Liazz" Tregillgas and Christopher "dexter" Nong from the active lineup, forcing the squad to use their coach, Fergus "ferg" Stephenson and former teammates, Mike "ap0c" Aliferis and Dylan "kyoto" Brown, to substitute for their matches in ESEA Premier, AOC CGPL Winter, and the Australian Esports Masters S1 Finals, which they won recently.
The two stand-ins have decided to become a part of the roster for the long-term. Besides competing in ESEA Premier and qualifying for the AOC CGPL Winter Finals, Tainted Minds have also been invited to the eXTREMESLAND 2017 ANZ Closed Qualifier, in hopes of securing their position at the ANZ Regional Finals and the Chinese event with $100,000 on offer.
Here is the duo's statements given to HLTV.org, after joining the team on a permanent basis:
"It feels good to be back with chuch and InfrequeNt. It's also a great new experience playing with ofnu and ap0c, who have so much experience and are more flexible as players, than anyone I've played with. I'm excited to move forward and start getting more consistent results that the team deserves. I can't wait to see what the future holds and I'm finally happy playing Counter-Strike again with these guys."
"I'm very excited to begin this new chapter of my career with Tainted Minds. So far the organisation and all of its parts have been an absolute delight. The Australian scene is undoubtedly booming. I hope, with my experience, to help my rising star teammates flourish to great heights."
