Cloud9 eliminate Immortals in Cologne

Cloud9 have beaten Immortals 16-11 on Train, eliminating the Brazilians at ESL One Cologne 2017.

Immortals and Cloud9, both of whom had 1-2 records before this match met on Train to determine who would make their exit at ESL One Cologne 2017. The North Americans started on the CT-side and won the first three rounds. Lucas "steel" Lopes's opening kill in the first weapon round brought the round to Immortals as they trailed 3-1.

After losing two rounds in a row, Immortals answered with Ricardo "boltz" Prass's 1vs2 clutch (5-2). Cloud9 didn't let the Brazilians build a strong economy on the T-side and finished 10-5 ahead in the first half.

Cloud9's last match will be for a spot at the playoffs

Immortals picked up the second half pistol round with boltz's two opening kills defending the B-site (10-6). Immortals tied the game at 10-10 after winning four more rounds. Mike "shroud" Grzesiek's two entry kills in the twenty-first round kept Immortals off the lead (11-10). Cloud9 went on to win the match 16-11 and eliminated the Brazilians.

Not if literally any other duo from a top 10 team also play well. SK - fallen and cold > shroud & ska Astralis - kjerby & device > shroud & ska G2 - Kenny & shox > shroud & ska NiP - f0rest & draken > shroud & ska VP - snax & pasha > shroud & ska North - konfig & magisk > shroud & ska You get the point.

Shroud & Ska > depphh & surreal dumbass crumpet, take your tea & pour it on your asshole Sick scene you have there in the UK! Worry about your burning apartment complexs, terrorist attacks & failing economy/brexit
2017-07-06 15:53
Holy shit you're as salty as the American diet. Cloud9 is my second favorite team and I've been following them for years, I'm just not a retarded fanboy child like you. Learn something about CS before you post. Also when your country has mass shooting including school shootings each month I would keep quiet about the goings on in other countries.
2017-07-06 15:57
Look how autistic and misinformed you are lol.
2017-07-06 16:08
People on this website are brilliant at trying to insult people, shit at actually raising valid counter arguments.
2017-07-06 16:37
holy shit, you are as dumb as the rest of your country... not surprising lol
2017-07-06 16:12
Nice argument you have there, care to add anymore of your wisdom? Or maybe just throw childish insults while bring up no valid points?
2017-07-06 16:36
my first 8/8 bait nice try mate. You also made shit up insulting people. Where i use facts to claim your country is the least educated since the rise of Christianity.

The point is that they show up in addition to stewie and tim, not that they are the only two.
2017-07-06 16:06
I completely agree IF stewie and automatic also show up but stating "if 4 players of a team show up they can beat anyone" is pretty much a no shit statement, if you can get 4 players playing well in any team you're almost guaranteed the win.
2017-07-06 16:30
Why are you comparing the best 2 players from every team with c9s 3rd and 4th best players lol Ps snax and pasha lololol sick 0-3 top 10 team you got there
2017-07-06 16:09
They're shit right now but you're clearly a new fan if you think they're going to stay shit, VP do this every single year, they go shit for ages then come out of nowhere and win again. Also I wouldn't need to compare the best. SK - felps & taco > ska and shroud Faze - allu & kio > ska and shroud Astralis - dupreeh & xyp9x > ska and shroud G2 - apex & body > ska and shroud North - CajunB & aizy >= ska and shroud I really like C9 and they can be a very good team but right now automatic and stewie are the defining factors, if they don't show up then C9 loses, ska and shroud showing up is secondary.

Nice performance from Cloud9. I felt Immortals last 3 rounds in the 1st half costed them the game. They force bought and hoped while a proper eco would have ensure a much better of chance of winning the last round. It was a nice rally back but Shroud showed up. Good match to watch and could see this game going both ways. Well done C9! :)

IMT is not good on train. Had the opportunity to play cache, which is their strongest map and passed on it trying to surprise C9? Pathetic. Also, misscalculations on first half led to the final 3 rounds being forced buys with SMG's and tec9's. Straight up awful match by IMT. Didn't deserve to win at all.

Deserved disqualification. IMt needs more team play in key situations in the game, especially when they have the numerical advantage in the round. I think the disqualification came against Liquid in the round they handed over to the twistzzz. Gj, wp c9
