FaZe have secured a spot in the ESL One Cologne quarter-finals after easily defeating North 16-7 on Inferno.

The final match of the Swiss group stage had FaZe and North battle it out on Inferno for the last available spot in the playoffs. Despite losing the first gun round, Finn "karrigan" Andersen's men got off to a great start, with five of the first six rounds going in their favour.

North then picked up their second round with a B execution before following it up with three more rounds to restore parity at 5-5. After calling a tactical pause, FaZe regained control of the match and won four of the remaining five rounds.

FaZe have easily beat North to reach playoffs

Håvard "rain" Nygaard and co. started the second half with a fast and successful mid to A execution. FaZe won the following anti-ecos and also the first gun round, with Nikola "NiKo" Kovač pulling off a 1v2 clutch after picking off two other opponents earlier in the round. The European mixture would lose just one round before locking down the map, 16-7, to secure a spot in the last-eight stage of the tournament.

I know you're joking and all, but there's a tournament with literally four times the prize money in like a week. Anyone who thinks the actual top teams like SK and FaZe are bringing their a-game to this one are tripping.
2017-07-07 00:22
you meant to say arent right?
2017-07-07 02:10
bro you aren't healthy in ur brain right ? maybe they don't show all there tactics and or they bring new tactics on major but they bring there A-game whatever you say.
2017-07-07 10:02
Wow, you mean there is a major in a week and they get to play against the majority of the teams in the major right before hand? what an amazing chance to practice - oh nvm lets just play like shit and throw our game off. C9 looking top 5 this month at this rate. btw i hate c9

no chance when k0nfig is playing like garbage. Hoping they come back stronger to future events.

Niko is the best aimer in the world atm... Coldzera is a better player overall (game sense, team work etc.) but Niko is just a beast... Either you insta HS him or you are dead... Dark Souls of CS...
2017-07-06 23:57
3 NA teams in the PO, who would of thought that before the start of this tournament.
2017-07-07 00:56
North kek. Earlier they used to ace group stage bo1 and fail massively in playoff bo3 games.. Now they fail group stage itself Progress kappa

Look at those NA flags at playoffs... and no Danish flag at all. If only Astralis is there. Well, at least karrigan is reppin'.
