FaZe dominate Liquid, advance to semis

FaZe become the third semi-finalists of ESL One Cologne with a dominant two-mapper against Liquid (Overpass 16-9, Train 16-5).

Håvard "rain" Nygaard and Fabien "kioShiMa" Fiey kicked off the third quarter-final of ESL One Cologne, as they combined for five kills and FaZe went up 3-0 on the Terrorist side of Overpass. Peter "stanislaw" Jarguz's two triples in key rounds then gave Liquid the lead, and another from Russel "Twistzz" Van Dulken later on set the score to 7-3 in the North American team's favor.

FaZe then put just Tec-9's and a Scout to work on the A site and stopped the streak with only a half-buy, while three kills from rain on A allowed his team to equalize the score and grab an 8-7 half.

The Norwegian proceeded to add four kills to his name in the next pistol round when he played behind the rock on long on his lonesome, but Liquid overpowered the B bombsite with the next round's forcebuy.

FaZe put up a dominant performance to advance to Cologne semis

FaZe replied with a forcebuy of their own and proceeded to dominate the defense, as rain kept abusing Liquid's flanks from fountain. stanislaw's team could only win one more round throughout the rest of the map, and FaZe picked up map one at 16-9.

The beginning of Train looked similarly to Overpass, although this time it was Liquid grabbing the pistol round before FaZe replied on the back of kioShiMa's quick triple on lower ramp.

Finn "karrigan" Andersen's side shut down each attack, at times going on the aggressive towards inner or ivy to get early advantages, until it was 10-1. Josh "jdm64" Marzano was the man of the hour then with three kills in an afterplant situation on B, but it was all for naught as FaZe picked up the last three rounds for 13-2.

With a pistol round going their way, Liquid managed to stay alive for the time being, but FaZe took little time to close things out, finding their way to the last three rounds for 16-5.

Yep, this is ridiculous, really. Stan is a better player than seang@res, but the second is a better IGL, I think. This ecos/forces are killing Liquid. It´s disgusting watch these plays in this cases.

How long exactly? Is there a schedule? I feel like they just need to go back to basic shit. How to double peek. How to read opponents economy. Dont pick Faze's best map as your first pick...
