Virtus.pro pick up their first win in Poland
Virtus.pro picked up a win in their first match at the PGL Major Krakow, defeating Vega Squadron 16-2 on Nuke.
Virtus.pro had a good start to the Terrorist side of Nuke and Wiktor "TaZ" Wojtas was the first player from the Polish side to have an impactful play, picking up two entries in the pistol round to allow his team to roll into the B site and secure the pistol round against Vega Squadron.
After cleaning up the two following anti-eco's, [virtus.pro] were in a tight 2v2 situation in the first gun round, but Jarosław "pashaBiceps" Jarząbkowski combined with TaZ well in a B site afterplant, allowing his team to get a 5-0 lead shortly after. After that, the Russian side got on the board with their first round win, but only to get reset by a slow and methodical take of the lower site that worked well for Virtus.pro.
Nikolay "mir" Bityukov and Pavel "hutji" Lashkov combined to get three untraded kills for Vega Squadron in round 12, essentially winning them the round that made the score 10-2. However, Dmitriy "jR" Chervak and co. couldn't tie any rounds together as Janusz "Snax" Pogorzelski and "" plowed through their defenses round after round, ending the Terrorist half 13-2 up.
With a giant lead from the first half, the Poles had a big buffer to close out the match on the CT side, but didn't end up needing it. After shutting down Vega Squadron's pistol round, Virtus.pro closed out the game straight away, making it 16-2 in the end.
