Gambit have beaten G2 16-6 on Cache at the PGL Major Krakow 2017.

G2 and Gambit—two teams with 1-0 records—squared off on Cache in the second round of the Swiss stage. Gambit kicked it off on the T-side and Abay "HObbit" Khasenov won the pistol round with a quad kill. After losing two eco rounds, G2 got on the board in the fourth round with Dan "apEX" Madesclaire's double kill.

The Frenchmen's streak lasted for four rounds, making it 4-3 in favor of Richard "shox" Papillon & company. Gambit won three rounds in a row and Rustem "mou" Telepov clutched a 1vs1 against shox to extend his team's lead to 7-4. The CIS team won the half 10-5.

AdreN was on point on Cache

Gambit won the second half pistol round with mou and Dauren "AdreN" Kystaubayev's double kills. G2 won the fourth round of the half and trailed 6-13.

AdreN clutched a 1vs1 in the following round to stop G2's comeback effort before it even started. Danylo "Zeus" Teslenko & company won the match 16-6 and secured their second win in Krakow

G2 just don't have enough firepower for their loose "run'n'gun" playstyle. shox thought him, apEX and kennyS would be enough to win, but apEX always was inconsistent, and shox just failed to carry and call strats at the same time. shox thought G2 would be like fnatic, but compare fnatic and G2 players 1 by 1 - fnatic are more skilled aim-wise, and G2 has pretty much nothing to compensate for lacking firepower - no IGL, no nothing. NBK didn't wanna be a support player, they picked bodyy for that - and who the heck won? NBK hates ScreaM, but ScreaM at least can kill enemies, while in G2 it's only kennyS + sometimes apEX, sometimes bodyy, rarely shox. So, the biggest disappointments for now are FaZe and G2. It's sad that SK have no real match for now.
2017-07-17 21:21
Monster game from AdreN. Gambit are a fun team to watch. Huge dark horses.
