Cloud9 eliminate mousesports at the Major

Cloud9 stay alive in Krakow by defeating mousesports 16-11 on Train, eliminating the European side from the tournament.

Cloud9 took the lead early into Train, winning the second round force buy by overwhelming the A site as Terrorists, exploiting mousesports' setup. In the first buy round, Chris "chrisJ" de Jong's side went for A main agression that paid off, but the North American side bounced right back thanks to Tyler "Skadoodle" Latham's 1v2 clutch.

Mike "shroud" Grzesiek and co. were in control of the game early on, with mousesports getting a foothold back in the game only after going 7-3 down thanks to an A site lockdown by Christian "loWel" Garcia Antoran and Tomáš "oskar" Šťastný and a B site retake in which Denis "denis" Howell picked up three.

mousesports tied the score at 7-7 and shut down an intricate execute in the last round of the half to take the lead for the first time since the pistol round.

autimatic had an impactful game against mousesports

After losing the second pistol round, Cloud9 took the lead a few gun rounds in, with Jake "Stewie2K" Yip's ivy flank shutting down mousesports's A site push in a crucial one.

The Europan side tied the score up at 11-11, but wasn't able to close out a 4v3 on A to take back the lead in round 23. Losing clutches in the following rounds meant that Cloud9 were able to close out the game, winning Train 16-11 to stay alive at the Major and eliminate mousesports.

Yeah, NiKo must be sad that he left mouz [Kappa] Oh, and also -allu +oskar [Kappa] mouz no chance my friend (c) No IGL - no win. That's what you get for kicking gob b. But it still sucks that PENTA/Flipsid3 will stay, while mouz are out already. But it's not the swiss system's fault for sure, just don't lose when you should win and that's it. P.S. Expected.
2017-07-19 11:05
Even if penta or f3 stays they will get 2 - 2 then getting rekt
2017-07-19 11:07
I know, I mean that they will at least have 1 more chance while mouz already ran out of chances.

did you watch the match? lowel, oskar, denis from 11-10 t o 14-11 lost clutches just because of unlucky timings. If only they won one of them the outcome could be much different

I am a c9 fan but I feel so bad for mouz. So many situations that could have went their way, hate to see it.
2017-07-19 11:08
And it wasnt even close to as unlucky as vs north. I hope c9 makes it always a fun team to watch.

mousesports losing every 1on1 or clutch... can't win like this. They need to change a few things. The talent is there, but not the performance.
2017-07-19 11:07
but not only clutch.. they bought 2nd round 2 M4A1-S and lost it against pistols...

:( fak Mouz lack experience under pressure and it showed both in this game and yesterday against north. Ropz was a good surprise, oskar was underwhelming. C9 continues living and dying by what stewie and autimatic can pull, insane duo

2017-07-19 16:54
I'd be disappointed if I was chrisj. he had several straight rounds with the opening kill on T side, and the rest of his team just couldn't trade frag effectively. that lowel whiff on Stewie2k...that was awful. would hate to be him after that play.
