Official: North bench Magisk
North have moved Emil "Magisk" Reif to a backup position, the player has confirmed on Twitter.
The decision comes as a result of a series of mixed results from the Danish team, who have not won a single title since joining North, at the start of the year.
The 19-year-old has been part of the Danish team since June 2016, and he played a fundamental role in their success at WESG Europe and EPICENTER: Moscow. He would be voted the 14th best player of 2016 at the end of the year.
It is believed that internal issues led to the decision to bench Magisk, who has averaged a 1.07 Rating on LAN since the start of the year - the third-highest on the team.
Valdemar "valde" Bjørn Vangså, who was recently released by Heroic, has been heavily linked with North in recent weeks, with Daniel "mertz" Mertz, who plies his trade for the Danish organisation's academy team, also mooted as a possible recruit.
North's next event will be DreamHack Masters Malmö 2017, which will run from August 30 to September 3. The team's roster currently looks as follows:
Casper "ruggah" Due (coach)
Emil "Magisk" Reif (backup)
