loWel announces free agency
Christian 'loWel' Garcia Antoran has been released from his contract with mousesports, the player revealed via Twitter today.
The Spanish player joined mousesports in October of last year, debuting for the team at the ELEAGUE Season 2 group stage. The European side, that had Nikola "NiKo" Kovač in their ranks at the time, managed to advance in a group with Cloud9, FaZe and Immortals, following that up with a 3-4th finish at the ESL Pro League Season 4 Finals shortly after.
The first part of 2017 was a turbulent period for mousesports who were swapping players in and out, but the team settled on the Czech sniper Tomáš "oskar" Šťastný and the Estonian youngster Robin "ropz" Kool before going on another good Pro League run, finishing 5-6th at the Season 5 Finals.
After a 12-14th placing at the PGL Major Krakow, mousesports will be changing up their roster again, and it's the 20-year-old Spaniard that will be leaving the active lineup.
"After almost a year with mousesports, I am a free agent. I want to thank mouz for everything they have done for me, and my former teammates who I've learned a lot from, wish them the best. News about my future will come soon."
With the Spaniard leaving, mousesports are now down to four members and a coach:
Sergey "lmbt" Bezhanov (coach)
