Merciless down to two after tifa departure

Thiago "tifa" França has announced he will no longer be part of Merciless, leaving the team down to just two players.

Merciless, who won the ESL Brazil Premier League #3 after 2-0 victories over Keyd Stars and Black Dragons earlier this year, and who took second place at Gamers Club Masters 2017 with stand-ins Caio "zqkS" Fonseca and Victor "bld" Rocha, losing only to Rafael "pava" Pavanelli and Bruno "bit" Lima's TeamOne in the final, is now down to just a duo.

tifa announced he will keep playing and will listen to offers

With this exit, Merciless has only Felipe "delboNi" Delboni and Ricardo "s1" Shinji in its ranks, and the future of the team hangs by a thread. Meanwhile, Thiago "tifa" França announced that while he will no longer play with Merciless, he will remain active and will be open to new offers.

With this exit, Merciless looks as follows:

He is from KNG generation. Older than Lucas and Hen1 for example.

Are Jou kidding? Kng was way more known than Lucas and Hen in 1.6... Even won WCG Brasil 2011 against mandic (fallen, fnx, bit, nak, ellll) in 2011 and fnatic in 2012.

oh please, kng played @ kode5 brazil 2007 with sly (who later joined CNB), morhalez, aerofox +1, and at that time hen1 and lucas were nowhere. not to mention he later literally played for top2-3 brazilian teams, which hen1 and lucas never did. internationally they were absolute randoms, those two. even in 2011 when he played for gamerhouse with fnx, hen1 and lucas1 were STILL nowhere, playing in team OPENGAME with osama, ricardolepra and that pbf1 guy

before 2011 kng was a total random aswell, lucas and hen1 were getting famous for being twins, not for skills
2017-08-07 02:06
as i said, kng played at kode5 2007 with solid players, mOw team were not complete randoms in my opinion. and he played for semxorah in 2009-2010! :D stop saying he was unkown before if you dont really know his career :D if you think semxorah were randoms then okay, your standards are weird edit: ALSO, i forgot, before sX he played in CNB with ruan (ex-GC player, thats the team that made fallen famous in brazil in my opinion), and chucky (legendary mibr|cky, the guy who had played with the likes of ton, aliche, spacca, eduzin, cogu, lance, fnx... literally everyone relevant in brazil scene before 2009)
2017-08-07 08:28
known in brazil =//= known/relevant LUL
2017-08-08 14:59
that's not always true because if a team beats the likes of mibr and firegamers on LAN, they are definitely good. if you think otherwise, then i dont know. but semxorah played internationally as well :) so dno what you wanna say. same goes for CNB and playArt. here is an example of a LAN like that, be sure to check the lineups. wiki.teamliquid.net/counterstrike/Mega_A.. i think it's comparable to beating the best NA or asian teams, ofc i'm not saying kng was a world class player, but such results DO make him known among the people who follow cs scene more closely than just watching the "majors" in 1.6

Yes, there are a lot of roster changes happening, but in Brazil, roster changes are really really common. In Brazil, brazilian teams will often trade rosters with other brazilian teams every couple weeks. For example, I remember a player who was in a team for one game and left, a lot of people thought he was actually just a stand in, but later that day, he posted a video on his instagram story saying that he was actually signed in by the team and one day later left. LOL

Potential major winners just disbanded :/, rip csgo jk, this lvl of counter strike shouldnt even be in hltv
2017-08-06 16:45
why not? it's still professional counter strike, and these teams are big in Brazil. And our domestic scene is also better than any other country's any day.
2017-08-06 18:08
Agree with you, but I understand, they have no news to post so they search for lower tier news. I will not be surprised if they post news from poland's domestic scene too like Pride, inetkox and other tier5 teams.

They'll need to start from a scratch. This team was a very good one but they lack tier 1 knowledge. Just like all remaining BR teams. They just don't know what SK and Imt did to raise his lv. C9 for example has the very same problem. They just don't know.

We lack IGL that play with their cards, you can see that the teams only try to run defaults, follow what other teams use and do, while trying to fit the players on these roles, you would never see top tier team like Immortals here (double awping usually and aggressive style), because that's not the international meta and we lack someone that says "fuck the meta, fuck the other teams". FalleN loved to do it back on the Kabum days, he even picked Inferno against the Inferno-dominant Fnatic - and won, doing what Fnatic wasn't expecting them to do because it wasn't the international meta.

You have no idea what you're talking about. I known the guy for 13 years and you can be sure he's not a asshole, quite different, hes very humble. People talk a lot of shit and know absolutely nothing about him. The only thing is he has a reserved personality and does not talk shit to score some points on twitter/facebook.

Well they make millions of posts about the Copenhagen Games, a shit tier tournament with hackers and mix pro teams basically smurfing, so why not talk about tier 1 BR CS sometimes? And I'm not even bantering you for your flag, I can't understand the excitement for such a bad tournament.
