Vega Squadron has announced that their Counter-Strike squad have extended their contracts with the Russian organisation.
After playing for nearly a year under the ALLIN banner, Nikolay "mir" Bityukov and co. were signed by Vega Squadron in November 2016. Since then, the team attended the PGL Major Krakow following a successful Main Qualifier and a first place in the CIS Minor.
Now, the Russian club has revealed that their CS:GO players have renewed their contracts, ending any transfer speculations surrounding Vega Squadron's men.
According to Alexey Kondakov, CEO of Vega Squadron, there's a good atmosphere within the squad, so any player changes would mean that the team would "be thrown behind a lot":
"First of all, I would like to point out that we've been working with the guys since 2015. They've already achieved incredible progress and after such success on CIS Minor and PGL Major qualifiers I clearly see their passion, the fire in their eyes. They want to improve, they want more practice. What goes to no replacements - nowadays the atmosphere inside the team and teamwork matter and guys have it. So even if we changed some of the players with someone of higher individual skill, we'd be thrown behind a lot. Our organization believes in the roster and helps our players improve and grow into the real champions."
As for Dmitriy "jR" Chervak, the Ukranian player said that the organisation will be doing everything they can "to make [their] practice comfortable":
"I am very glad that we signed our new contracts and will stay under Vega Squadron tag. Our will to work hard and improve was the key factor of making this decision. Organization and the staff are making everything to make our practice comfortable and we value it a lot. I'd like to thank Vega Squadron for the trust they put into us and also thank our fans for the support."
