Immortals, Liquid & Renegades through to ELEAGUE Premier

Immortals, Team Liquid and Renegades have booked the final spots at ELEAGUE Premier after finishing top three in the North American qualifier.

Over 250 teams from all over North America competed in a single-elimination bracket for the chance to qualify for ELEAGUE's upcoming showpiece tournament, featuring $1 million in prize money.

Before entering the best-of-three rounds, there were a couple of surprises on the board, with Broken Alliance defeating CLG on Cache, and Rise Nation beating Misfits on Mirage.

Immortals have qualified for ELEAGUE Premier

Immortals booked the first spot at ELEAGUE Premier following a convincing series against Broken Alliance that included a comprehensive 16-4 victory on Mirage. In the other semi-final, Liquid and Renegades fought out a closely contested encounter, with the North Americans running out 2-1 victors following strong individual displays from Nick "nitr0" Cannella and Josh "jdm64" Marzano.

Renegades went on to face Broken Alliance in the third-place decider to determine who would take OpTic's spot in ELEAGUE Premier. The match ended up going according to script as the Australians successfully dispatched of their opponents to secure a top-three finish.

The following 16 teams will be in action at ELEAGUE Premier, which will start on September 8:

Europe FaZe France G2
Ukraine Natus Vincere Sweden fnatic
Europe mousesports Denmark North
United States Cloud9 Sweden NiP
Poland Virtus.pro Denmark Astralis

Renegades will be in group A guaranteed. the other 4 qualifying teams already have LANs at the time of group A, with nV, Liquid, and Heroic at Mykonos, and Immortals at Montreal
2017-08-28 07:39
