ESG Tour Mykonos viewer's guide

With ESG Tour Mykonos 2017 set to start tomorrow, here is everything you need to know concerning the €200,000 (~$235,000) tournament.

Eight teams will be battling it out in Mykonos, Greece, for the first prize of €100,000 ($117,000). This will be the first of a a series of events that will be part of the Electronic Sports Global Tour, organised by PvPRO.

Mykonos will hostthe first ESG Tour event

The group stage of the tournament will see the eight teams split into two groups of four. As you can see below, SK have been placed in the same group as Gambit, Heroic, and mousesports. As for Group B, it will feature BIG, Envy, Liquid, and Virtus.pro, who will face off for two spots in the playoffs.

ESG Tour Mykonos 2017 will be played in a GSL format during the group stage, with the elimination and decider matches being played in a best-of-three series. After that, while the semi-finals will consist of best-of-three games, the finalists will play out a best-of-five encounter.

The on-air talent in Mykonos will have Paul "ReDeYe" Chaloner as host, while Tomi "lurppis" Kovanen and Duncan "Thorin" Shields will be the tournament's analysts, and "" and Alex "Machine" Richardson will be among the commentators.
