DaZeD assembles ESEA MDL team
Former iBUYPOWER member Sam "DaZeD" Marine has revealed his team for the next season of ESEA MDL.
Sam "DaZeD" Marine will reunite with former iBP teammates Braxton "swag" Pierce and Keven "AZK" Lariviere, with Michael "dapr" Gulino, formerly of Denial, and Matt "Pollo" Wilson, who has played for teams like Eanix and RONIN in the past, rounding out the roster.
In a VLOG, DaZeD stated that the new ESEA MDL season will be treated as a "learning experience" for the ex-iBP trio as they try to "get up to speed" after being out of the competitive circuit for so long.
"Let's see what happens this season, let's see where we end up at and how fast we progress," he said.
"Let's see if we even want to have the motivation to keep playing and to grind like we used to."
The 27-year-old also revealed that, despite talks with potential investors, the team decided not to follow that path yet - an option that could be revisited "in a couple of months".
The announcement comes just days after DreamHack revealed that all indefinite lifetime bans issued prior to February 2015 would be lifted, which, in DaZeD's opinion, "changes a lot". DreamHack became the second tournament organiser to implement the suggestions of the Esports Integrity Coalition (ESIC) after ESL had done the same earlier in the Summer.
The team will compete in ESEA MDL as GX, with the roster looking as follows:
