Natus Vincere have booked their spot in Group A's decider match at ESL One New York after defeating EnVyUs on two maps.
The early stages of Train were quite chaotic, with rounds going back and forth as teams kept losing to force buys and even full saves. Just as EnVyUs looked to be in a position to get some rounds on the board and to build up their economy, Ioann "Edward" Sukhariev rescued his team with a 1v2 clutch.
That round sparked a great run from the Ukrainian team, who would go on five of the next six rounds, also thanks to a stunning 1v3 clutch from Aleksandr "s1mple" Kostyliev, which reset EnVyUs' economy after they had won the previous round.
EnVyUs came out of the break a different side, winning five rounds right off the bat to retake the lead. Down 9-11, Natus Vincere tightened up their defense and finally won a round after overturning a 3v5 situation. That was the start of a dominant period for Na`Vi, who would go on to close out the map without losing any more rounds.
Map #2, Cobblestone, began with EnVyUs winning the first three rounds on their Terrorist side. But once Na`Vi got money in the bank, the landscape of the game changed completely. The Ukrainian team won seven rounds in a row, forcing Vincent "Happy" Schopenhauer to call a timeout.
After the break, EnVyUs managed to stabilize a bit and take some rounds, one of them thanks to a triple kill from Alexandre "xms" Forté with a Desert Eagle, but they still found themselves down 9-6 come to the end of the half.
s1mple opened up the second half with an impressive ace, helping his team to overturn what appeared to be a lost round as they were in a 2v5 situation. Once they had money to work with, EnVyUs still tried to get a foothold in the game, but the rounds going their way were few and far between, leaving them with no tools to prevent Na`Vi from closing out the match.
