fnatic to ELEAGUE Premier playoffs over Immortals

fnatic have booked their spot in the ELEAGUE Premier playoffs after defeating Immortals 2-0 (16-10 on Train and 16-14 on Inferno).

The decider match of Group B kicked off on Train, fnatic's map pick, with Immortals picking up their Counter-Terrorist pistol and the subsequent anti-eco. The two teams then traded rounds for a while, but the Swedes eventually manage to take control of the game, cruising to a 9-5 lead before the final round of the half went Immortals' way.

In the second pistol round, the Brazilians took control of bombsite A, but then a double and a triple-kill from Maikil "Golden" Selim and Robin "flusha" Rönnquist, respectively, helped fnatic to turn it around. Still, Immortals picked up the next round with nothing but pistols, which powered them to cut the gap to just one round.

Despite Immortals putting up a fight during the remaining rounds, the Swedish squad lost only one more before closing out Train with a 16-10 scoreline.

fnatic have made it to the ELEAGUE playoffs

Inferno began with a successful B execution through CT spawn from Lucas "steel" Lopes and co. That was the start of a fantastic run from the Brazilians, who would take an 8-1 lead.

A triple-kill from Golden then got his team back into the game, but the Swedes could not string more than two rounds together. They would have to wait until the 14th round to hold Immortals off, with the final round of the half also going their way.

fnatic began the second half with a near-flawless B execution, and followed it up with the subsequent anti-ecos. In the next two gun rounds, however, triple-kills from Ricardo "boltz" Prass and Raphael "cogu" Camargo opened the way for Immortals to hit 14 rounds.

However, Freddy "KRIMZ" Johansson and his teammates went on to complete the comeback with a series of slow-paced rounds, locking down the map, 16-14, and the series, 2-0, to secure a place in the ELEAGUE Premier playoffs.

Yeah, anyway if JW doesn't step it up the team won't be able to win any tournament. I mean, they're talented all of them but 3 games already with JW bottom fragging.

He did great on train, inferno can be a hard map for an awper sometimes.

cogu did his part, loved to see him playing in that level. Considering that he didn't play with a tier 1 team since 2012, he could play average against teams like fnatic, north and mouz. Proud of him
