ESEA S25 Global Challenge hits playoffs

The group stage of the ESEA Season 25 Global Challenge has reached its end, with four teams advancing to the playoffs.

FlipSid3 were the team who raised the most eyebrows on the first day of the tournament as they topped their group following comprehensive victories over Mythic and Rise Nation, losing just 13 rounds in the process.

Group A went according to script as Space Soldiers finished at the summit with two straight victories, even though they were made to work hard to beat Grayhound and Kinguin - two teams attending the event with stand-ins.

WorldEdit had a very strong first day in Burbank

In the decider matches, which featured a best-of-one format, Kinguin beat Grayhound 16-12, while Rise Nation edged past TeamOne in a keenly-contested match that went to all 30 rounds.

Below you can find the semi-final match-ups for the ESEA Global Challenge, which has $50,000 at stake:

Turkey Space Soldiers vs. Canada Rise Nation
CIS FlipSid3 vs. Poland Kinguin
