yam joins Tainted Minds

Tainted Minds have officially confirmed the signing of former Renegades member Yaman "yam" Ergenekon.

Yaman "yam" Ergenekon joins Tainted Minds on a permanent basis after playing for the team the past few weeks as a stand-in, helping the Aussie-Kiwi mixture defeat Chiefs 2-0, trade maps 1-1 with Grayhound in ZEN League Season 2, and a quick two-nil stomp over AVANT in AOC CGPL Spring 2017.

The 28-year-old will step into the shoes of former AWPer Jesse "InfrequeNt" Barker, who transferred to Athletico about two weeks ago after being benched originally.

yam completes Tainted Minds' starting lineup

A statement from the Australian veteran was given to HLTV.org on his move:

"I am really excited to now play for Tainted Minds," yam told HLTV.org. "I know this team has a lot of potential to do well domestically and internationally so it should be a lot of fun moving forward!"

"I would really like for us to qualify for the next Asian Minor (whenever that may be, sometime within the next couple of months I assume) and to play there against Renegades would be awesome."

"During my time off after stepping down from Renegeades, I had a bit of an extended break. Taking a big break away from Counter-Strike allowed me to spend a lot of the time on vacation and it was a much needed break and time away for me. I am now ready to get back into the swing of things and go harder than ever."

Tainted Minds now have a complete squad moving forward:

New Zealand Chris "ofnu" Hanley
New Zealand Ryan "zewsy" Palmer
Australia Mike "ap0c" Aliferis
Australia Connor "chuch" Morgan
Australia Yaman "yam" Ergenekon

Australia Fergus "ferg" Stephenson (coach)

yam is an underrated player. had a lot of potential and never could consistently use it in rng. imo id rather he go to NA and get some experience in a solid tier 2 team like misfits or clg but maybe he can do something in twisted minds

he is taking the easy $ bro he'd have to joing someone like splyce or some absolute trash teams. At least with RNG playing in NA he can fuck up the AU/NZ shitters XD

"helping the aussie kiwi team" nice racism
2017-09-25 12:59
U shouldnt have a problem with that considering you germans voted nazis into the bundestag
2017-09-25 13:04
Mhm maybe Devastor1337 belongs to the small 87% part of the Germans who did not vote for the AFD. I agree that 13% is way to much support for a right party but your statement generalizes every German as Nazis which is simply not true.
2017-09-25 14:07

Glad he's back in the AU scene where he can perform.
2017-09-25 13:01
Sad isnt it
2017-09-25 13:06
I get to watch an Australian AWPer appear to be decent. That's a win.
2017-09-25 13:09
Yeah sure but he was good internationally.
2017-09-25 13:10
But he was up against NA AWPers who were leagues above him. Now we get to see him really dominate a game.
2017-09-25 13:11
But its not the same. How can dominating players below your level be satisfying?
2017-09-25 13:12
Was the worst player on Renegades since Spunj left and probably should've left before Spunj did, Would've been nice to see how Rickeh and Spunj both on the same team would've worked, Saying that the current Renegades roster is better anyway

I think he means internationally as in Oceania + Asia. I doubt he believes they can take on NA/EU.

2017-09-25 13:19
Expected.. Inc havoc for chuch or ofnu.. they wont +raz, he was a let down in winterlulz. Sico is best oce awp atm.. Yam dominate? Only the au scene.. was a flop in NA.. thats why he left renegades, couldnt igl nor out awp any NA peeps..
2017-09-25 13:22
He didn't flop. He just wasn't up to the same standard as the t1 NA AWPers and they're the ones that attract the most viewership so more people notice his underwhelming performance against great AWPers compared to the good ones he puts up against the NA average.
2017-09-25 13:47
Rickeh > yam
2017-09-25 15:23

nah nifty is a better awper than rick, idk about rifle though because rick is pretty strong there overall rick is probably better but if were talking exclusively awp then nifty is better

nice move max tier 5
2017-09-25 13:25
Tier 2 at the most, yam has the experience by playing high tier teams with renegades

ez top 1 oce roster if this was the 2015 OCE cs scene. Still top 5, Kings and probably even grayhounds>TM. Hats, liazz, sico, emag, grat, dexter and erkast are just better players (most are younger as well, these teams will shuffle before 2018 most likely anyway).
2017-09-25 15:09
Cant wait to see kings vs tm.

Every season there's a time for a player to go. Infrequent was a good awper but still not much teams know how CSGO should be played when it comes to managing their banks. The sad truth as of 2017.
