North Academy sign sycrone
North Academy have confirmed the signing of Dennis "sycrone" Nielsen, formerly of Fragsters.
Just a couple of days ago, North Academy announced that they were parting ways Frederik "LOMME" Nielsen and Nicolai "glace" Jensen, a duo that was a part of the squad since its inception. The change was a result of lacking results since the summer break, with 3-4th place finishes at both the Cross Border Esport LAN and the Binary Dragons Prestige LAN not satisfying the team.
North Academy has now announced the acquisition of Dennis "sycrone" Nielsen who will play out the rest of the month for Fragsters—the team he was announced for just a couple of days ago—before completing the move to North Academy.
sycrone addressed the departure from his former team in his statement, which you can read in full in Danish at dust2.dk:
"Let me start by saying that it's not easy to just switch Fragsters with North Academy. But although Fragsters offer some amazing settings, and certainly will reach a high level, North Academy is a project I've dreamed of being a part of since the team was created. At North, every day is being built around being a professional athlete, and it is, to be honest, an opportunity I can't say no to."
North Academy is now:
Daniel "mertz" Mertz
Nicklas "gade" Gade
Frederik "acoR" Gyldstrand
Dennis "sycrone" Nielsen
Alexander "ave" Holdt (coach)
The team is expected to announce their last member soon and then have their LAN debut at the start of October, when they will attend the ~$18,000 NGC Masters 2017 alongside the likes of ALTERNATE aTTaX, MK and Tricked.
