BIG qualify for WESG EU & CIS Regional Finals

BIG have guaranteed their place at the WESG Europe & CIS Regional Finals after beating EURONICS 2-1 (16-7 on Cache, 14-16 on Cobblestone and 22-20 on Overpass).

The grand final of the German qualifier saw BIG lock horns against the recently formed EURONICS team, following their successful earlier stages in the competition.

The series kicked off on Cache, BIG's pick, with Fatih "gob b" Dayik leading the way for his team to close out the map, 16-7, by topping the scoreboard with 23 frags.

Cobblestone was a different story. After being down 11-4, EURONICS went on to finish off their map choice as Counter-Terrorists, 16-14, despite their opponents hitting match-point in the 25th round.

The decider map was Overpass, and EURONICS started it out with the right foot by securing an 11-4 half-time lead as CTs. As teams switched sides, BIG quickly equalized the score by winning seven straight rounds, earning them room to eventually reach the 15-round mark.

Despite Christian "crisby" Schmitt and co. being able to tie the match and put up a fight in overtime, BIG had their eyes set on Barcelona, and went on to lock down the map, 22-20, to secure their place in the regional finals.

After being down 11-4, EURONICS went on to finish off their map choice as Counter-Terrorists, 16-14, despite their opponents hitting match-point in the 25th round. how is this possible? wouldnt "opponents hitting match point" mean there need to be overtime?
