Gambit sign former Na`Vi coach Andi

Professeur
October 4th, 2017 16:39

Andrey "Andi" Prokhorov, who made a mark first as the analyst and then as the coach of Natus Vincere, has joined Gambit—the team's manager announced today.

Ever since the latest CIS shuffle, that saw Danylo "Zeus" Teslenko depart Gambit together with the team's coach Mikhaylo "Kane" Blagin, the Kazakhstani team had a vacant coach spot, with the team's manager Qesha Qrishbayeff being the one standing behind them at events. Now, it has been announced that Andrey "Andi" Prokhorov will be the new coach of Gambit.

Andi has a new challenge ahead of him

Two months ago, Andi was removed from Natus Vincere after an almost four-year-long cooperation during which he climbed the ranks, finally becoming the coach of the CS:GO roster in March of this year. During the recent shuffle, the Ukranian was removed in favor of Kane, whose spot in Gambit he will now be taking.

The team and the coach are yet to put out a statement about the signing, with the news coming directly from the Twitter account of Gambit's CS:GO team manager, Qesha Qrishbayeff.

Gambit are now:

Kazakhstan Dauren "AdreN" Kystaubayev
Kazakhstan Rustem "mou" Telepov
Kazakhstan Abay "Hobbit" Khasenov
Kazakhstan Bektiyar "fitch" Bahytov
Russia Mihail "Dosia" Stolyarov

Ukraine Andrey "Andi" Prokhorov (coach)

Gambit is so much better than NaVi, fak the s1mple kid I hope they will not change anything omg! But I am sure they already know they are way better.
2017-10-04 17:01
Major winners, why wouldn't they better? It's obvious as fuck
2017-10-04 17:08
Yeah now.. months and month prior to major I was listening to shitty NAVI>GAMBIT banter everyday even though NaVi was shit back then as well.
2017-10-04 19:45
NaVi was rly good in 2015. If we compare NaVi 2015 and Gambit 2017 I can surely say that NaVi 2017 were better

Ange1's contract is insanely expensive, and the buyout is equally expensive if he gets bought out, it is one of the reasons, Na'Vi didn't get him and Electronic.

Go read about it on thorin or somethings youtube. There was also maybe a post on HLTV about it, I am doing other things right now. Why do you think Seized was benched for a little bit with Guardian? Were you under a rock when they were looking to make trades lol
2017-10-04 19:17
I didnt read all of it. Also thought they were after elec only.

Thorin |
Faroe Islands Emorter
they benched Guardian and Seized at the same time, at the time Zeus didn't have plans about leaving Gambit so really the only worthwhile IGL after him is Ange1, whos buyout is too much to really be worth it.
2017-10-04 19:24
Nah ceh9 said they were going to pay ange1's buyout no matter what but were negotiating, and that all broke down when Zeus was available for a mere 100k. If Na'Vi didn't get Zeus they were going to get ange1 no matter what, they were desperate for a IGL and ceh9 said na'vi didn't like his high buyout price but were going to get him either way in the end. The situation you're talking about is more for electronic, who they chose to stop pursuing since (according to ceh9) ange1 + electronic was a package deal for that loose firepower heavy style and once they were getting Zeus instead of ange1 they lost interest in electronic, they also thought that under Zeus seized can become great again and regain form.
