dignitas & Space Soldiers withdraw from ROG Masters EMEA Finals

dignitas and Space Soldiers have decided against attending the ROG Masters Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) Finals, the event's organisers have announced.

The announcement comes just 24 hours after ELEAGUE unveiled the first details for its upcoming Boston Major, with the European qualifiers due to take place next week.

Of the two teams, only Space Soldiers secured an invite to the closed qualifier for the European Minor, which means that Dignitas will have to compete in the open bracket if they hope to reach the Bucharest event. Both the open and the closed qualifier will clash with the ROG Masters EMEA Finals, which will run from October 12-15 at TakeTV's studios, in Krefeld.

dignitas will have to go through the open qualifiers for the EU Minor

Seed, formerly known as PENTA, and Singularity will replace the missing duo the event, which will see eight teams duke it out for two spots at the ROG Masters 2017, a $250,000 competition that will be held later this year.

The team list for the ROG Masters EMEA Finals now looks as follows:

Kazakhstan Gambit Germany Seed
Sweden Singularity Russia Vega Squadron
Denmark Tricked Europe mousesports
Germany ALTERNATE aTTaX Finland HAVU

Sad. Valve should stay away from esports, these majors are becoming trainwreck for CSGO scene. How does Valve expect organizations keep investing tournaments when Valve wrecks them again and again without warning? If Valve cant lock their schedule earlier, they should withdraw from organizing events at all.

agreed :(

CS:Go should be like League Of Legends, just don't spam a bunch of tournaments, that brake the hype and can disorganize the schedule

I do not think Dignitas will even make it to the offline qualifier. They would have bigger chances at the DOG.

They will not qualify for the major...last time they did 2-3 in the Main Qualifier... In the Open Qualifier top 8 teams get a spot on Close Qualifier so no problems for DIG Closed Qualifier will be Swiss System so 50/50 Major its a Major

Do you know what happend about a year ago? early November 2016, Predator Masters Season 3? a fucking Minor by ELEAGUE got annouced only 14 days before APM3 and a few times pulled out. was really disaapointed to miss on a lot of good teams and get french tier 3 instead. sadly I won't be there for long this time. fuck ELEAGUE for destroying yet another TaKeTV CS event , there are few... but it's always ELEAGUE -.- REFERNCE: hltv.org/news/19118/fnc-academy-euronics.. we need to stop this. there are often weekends free of events but then like 5 things at the same time. PLAYER UNION or even fucking coordination between organizers. fucking ELEAGUE goes in and ruins everything because they don#t think about other tournaments, guess they are two important.

It is a big joke minor qualifier etc. were announced only now. This event could have even scheduled other time around the minor qualifier easily if it had just been announced after last major at least... It is really fucking up organizers how irresponsible valve is regarding cs go, you should at least have next major and its details to announce when last one ends so people can use this information then.

All valve would have to do is make a predefined schedule and let organizations bin on each tournament date. Then other organizations could work around it, sorta like ESL pro league will take a few days break so teams can attend other tournaments.
