FaZe into ELEAGUE Premier semi-finals after beating EnVyUs

FaZe are through to the semi-finals at ELEAGUE Premier following a comprehensive 2-0 victory over EnVyUs (16-12 on Nuke and 16-3 on Overpass).

The first map of the series was Nuke, EnVyUs' map pick, where the initial stages were played at a frantic pace. FaZe started things off with a B retake, thanks to double kills from Finn "karrigan" Andersen and Nikola "NiKo" Kovač, but, for a while, the match was a back-and-forth affair as teams kept trading rounds.

It was only six rounds into the game that a team finally managed to string rounds together. With a very tight defence, FaZe got a foothold in the game and secured a 5-2 lead, but then EnVyUs' offense came to life, with five of the next six rounds going the Frenchmen's way. It looked like EnVyUs had discovered a winning formula, but the final two rounds went to the European mixture, who took a narrow 8-7 lead.

FaZe further added to their lead by taking the pistol round, courtesy of a trio of kills from karrigan, and the subsequent anti-ecos. The first full gun round also went FaZe's way, after they turned a seemingly lost 2v2 situation around.

With FaZe winning every close situation, they hit map point without dropping a single round in the half. A last-gasp effort from EnVyUs still earned them five rounds, but, after calling a tactical pause, the European mixture managed to put the game to bed.

FaZe beat EnVyUs in convincing fashion

Map two, Overpass, began with EnVyUs winning a very solid pistol round, only to collapse in the following anti-eco round. That eco victory sparked a massive run from FaZe, who would go on to win nine rounds in a row, most of them pretty convincingly.

Down 9-1, EnVyUs managed to break the CT's streak off of three kills from Christophe "SIXER" Xia, but once again they had to deal with a hard reset. This time around, the European mixture would not take their foot off the gas, closing out the half with a commanding 13-2 lead.

FaZe piled more misery on EnVyUs with a clean A execute in the pistol round, with NiKo getting three kills to his name. After hitting match point, the European mixture dropped a round against an EnVyUs team on a shoddy buy, but they quickly wrapped things up, clinching the match with a trio of kills from Olof "olofmeister" Kajbjer.

Sixer did well in the start, but overtime he has developed into being absolute crap. Xms, I didn't even know who was before he suddenly out of nowhere entered LDLC, to get into EnvyUs after the last shuffle. The big question on my lips is the same; Who the fak is this guy?

exactly the same question for me m8. like wtf with the both tbh? didn't know who either of them were before ldlc/NV... was he in something back in the day with KQLY before Titan or am I thinking of someone else?

I don’t think so. In that case xms is a cover name for smth else, and that doesn’t make sense. Either that or I simply forgot him, but that is not likely. I do not believe we have seen him before. Sixer was brandnew, so how he got a spot anywhere in the first place is beyond me.

Honestly I think it is as some pros and speculants has said: Pro players sometimes doesn't have to have gone the long route, rather, they have or had contacts in the industry, and got in that way.
2017-10-12 22:08
Sixer is oldschool 1.6 player from aAa if I remember so the "experience" is there but he fails alot in csgo

its pretty simple... xms and sixer cant compete at this level. they most likely never will, even tho xms has had a few good maps on LAN he is not consistent at all. it's time for zywoo, kio, ALEX and ex6 to join g2 and nV

2017-10-12 08:48
When you look at envyus core you can't help but feel a bit sad for rpk scream and happy, they are really trying to drag the team but they can't manage with xms and, especially, sixer. Some changes will boost them so much if the synergy is there :x.
2017-10-12 09:02
Sixer is main awper, isnt he? It is too costly to have bad awper (same as keev on big for example), and im not saying xms is much better, but at least it doesnt hurt team economy so badly... Awpers in t1 teams are nowadays stars or at least 2-3 position in teams.
2017-10-12 11:42
