Trio to fight for CIS Minor spot in last-chance qualifier

forZe, Space Jam and hateMania will face off in a last-chance qualifier for the CIS Minor, kicking off on Saturday.

The winner of this triangular tournament will replace Fantazeri, who have informed ELEAGUE and PGL that they are unable to take part in the Minor.

This means that there will be a second replacement for the $50,000 tournament, after FONTAN announced their withdrawal due to visa issues, being replaced by Nemiga, who had lost to the Russian team in the final round of the qualifier.

kUcheR's forZe get a second chance to qualify for the Minor

forZe, Space Jam and hateMania will face each other in best-of-three matches, with the first team to win two series in a row moving on to the Minor.

All three teams were eliminated from the qualifier in the quarter-finals and have confirmed to PGL that they will be able to travel to Bucharest to compete at the Minor, which will take place from October 26-29.

yes, everyone have it. cevo dont cares about faceit bans or gfinity bans and they hadnt only 2 bans, they had like 6 or 8 bans so, there is were a lot of clips when we can see that they are obviously cheating and after this we got leaked chat between one of the players KLAN FONTAN and one of a famous ppl in CIS:GO, where Ezzo (player of KLAN FONTAN), says that some players in a team were cheating for sure, but he doesnt know that they can reach a place in CIS minor (i think he got punished by a students in a college, thats why he post it + they had no chances to get their visas and passports back before cis minor) (its about KLAN FONTAN) but there is a last chance qual not because of them, cheaters already were replaced by Nemiga (team that they beat to reach finals), some of teams had no chance to get their visas back in time sry for english, its hard to correct a big text

"This means that there will be a second replacement for the $50,000 tournament, after FONTAN announced their withdrawal due to visa issues"
2017-10-15 17:23
FONTAN is the team that has been widely complained about for having 2/5 players being cheaters. FONTAN made the claim they withdrew due to Visa issues even though one player (Who later went on to say in a chat that his team was cheating) didn't even submit his passport, effectively dodging attending the LAN. hltv.org/news/21726/nemiga-to-replace-fo.. Fantazeri just genuinely had Visa issues, which is extremely common for CIS teams.

yea, I admit I kinda messed up my OP by not specifying which team I am referring to("They") still a shame for cevo as an org wanting to host more quals and tourneys checking players ID's on other AC platforms is a common thing now
2017-10-15 17:56
no time to get visas
2017-10-14 19:01
3 of the FONTAN players cheated, it was evident to everyone who watched their games, though they didnt admit it and simply said they had "visa issues" as for Fantazeri, 2 of their guys have visa problems indeed, they dont have enough time to make foreign passports and visas to Romania

how about addressing or at least reporting about hooch's critique towards valve for not giving a fuck about cis scene and botching the minor?
2017-10-14 20:15
Be glad you even received an open qualifier friend. Asia did not :(
2017-10-15 03:46
that wasn't my point. a team cheating on a freaking minor qualifier with almost no one talking about it, it being hardly mentioned in one of the articles on the site with a lousy title that doesn't even hint that a team has been cheating is outrageous. i wouldn't have known if i didn't accidentally notice hooch's tweet when i visited zeus's twitter. the part where an admin told ts.academy that even if they find out fontan was cheating the latest team to lose to them will advance would be comical if it was some 100 bucks joke tournament - not a minor qualifier. this irresponsibility by valve and their repeated negligence of the cs community is beyond ridiculous at this point. i couldn't care less if it was a cis, asian, eu, na, or african qualifier. look at this for example: a few streams complain over streaming rights of dota events through dota tv (the tournaments obviously don't want them to stream because they decrease the viewers on the official stream) joindota.com/en/news/60518-admiralbulldo.. a day later and valve comes with an official response saying the streamers can stream as long as they don't monetize it: joindota.com/en/news/60539-valve-makes-a.. compare that issue to a fucking team having players who are banned for cheating on other platforms, they cheat in a minor qualifier, they admit they had cheated and.... NOTHING. not a biggie. carry on. mvp awards get more coverage than what this got. no wonder that this kind of attitude breeds paranoids and witch hunters. if valve can't make sure their own tournaments are cheater free (especially considering fontan apparently didn't give a fuck and weren't really planning to go to the minor, heck i don't think they are even a pro team), one has to wonder whether they can prevent someone who has the resources and commitment from cheating. tl;dr: fuck valve. if you want this game to improve or if you are concerned with potential cheating scenarios the only solution is to boycott valve and make sure it gets bad PR.
2017-10-15 05:02
Except its CEVO running the CIS Minor and its matches. Its CEVO's admins making the stupid decisions and not reacting properly to cheaters. In the end its still Valves fault for not involving themselves in their own tournaments qualifiers, but tbh i really doubt they even know who was in the qualifier and that there were cheaters. For the issues you brought up, blame CEVO. For the overall shitty Major qualifications were getting this year around, Blame Valve.
2017-10-15 07:17
i agree with everything you said though imo valve should take the bulk of the blame. it might be true that ultimately they have no clue what's going on and it's pretty much CEVO fault, however it's not the first time they fail by choosing shitty organizers. shanghai major in dota2 being one example where they ended up firing the production after the group stage (and also got 2GD banned by gaben). im annoyed no one is calling them out and how indifferent they are to the whole situation. i find it crazy how they can get away with almost not investing anything and still get huge returns. well maybe a bit less than when skin betting was popular, but then again they are partially responsible for botching it in the first place.
2017-10-15 07:29
2GD's ban was somewhat justified. Funny dude, not really a mature choice for the biggest Dota tournament of the year. But yeah, CEVO choice was garbage, but that's what you expect when they give Tournaments 3 months notice to get their shit together, hold Qualifiers and minors and make sure they're all as close to perfect as possible. None of them will be. The Asian Minor suffered a complete lack of Open Qualifiers and only had invited teams, which is shit. The CIS Minor was riddled with cheaters. The EU Minor invited teams who bummed out of the Minor instead of teams that made it to the Major Qualifier. There's no decent system in place by any of them. Theres plenty of pro's and people involved in the CS:GO scene calling Valve and the tournament organizers out for it. By the time Hooch had made his Twitlonger post, A good amount of it had already faded away and people gave up because once again, Valve just didnt respond. It is unrealistic to expect teams to simply boycott attending Valve hosted majors which are well known to be the most prestigious tournaments of the year, with a lot more revenue for teams and players than any other. As much as it'd be nice for teams to say "Hey Valve, were unhappy with your poor work and not going to attend", It simply won't happen.
