EnVyUs, AGO, ex-Outlaws lock Europe Minor spots
EnVyUs, AGO, and ex-Outlaws have locked their spots at the Europe Minor following 3-1 records in the Swiss closed qualifier.
In the fourth round, three matches for spots at the Minor were played. Envy faced Heroic on Nuke and started on the Terrorist side, where the Frenchmen locked down an 11-4 scoreline. After a short back-and-forth, Vincent "Happy" Schopenhauer's side emerged victorious at 16-8, securing a 3-1 record and a spot at the Europe Minor.
The second match saw AGO take down GODSENT on Inferno, as Dominik "GruBy" Swiderski pulled much of the weight with a 31-13 score (1.79 rating) in the 16-11 victory that pushed the Poles to the next stage of the Major cycle.
ex-Outlaws and eXtatus locked horns on Cache, where it seemed like the Czech-Slovakian team had the upper hand after an 11-4 half as Terrorists. At an 11-15 deficit, the Bulgarian squad around Kamen "bubble" Kostadinov managed to claw their way back, take the match to overtime, and grab their spot at the Bucharest event at 19-17.
Meanwhile, TEAM5, Kinguin, and HellRaisers exited the competition following losses to PRIDE, Ninjas in Pyjamas, and Binary Dragons, respectively.
