DreamHack Denver groups, schedule released

MIRAA
October 18th, 2017 00:58

DreamHack has revealed the groups and the schedule for the upcoming Open tournament in Denver.

The National Western Complex, in Denver, will host from Friday to Sunday the penultimate DreamHack Open event of the year, where eight teams will square off for their cut of a $100,000 prize pool.

Just like at every other DreamHack Open stop, the tournament will begin with a double-elimination group stage, featuring a best-of-three format in the elimination and in the decider stages.

Cloud9 will open up the action against Tempo Storm

The top two teams from both groups will then progress to the single-elimination, best-of-three playoffs, which will determine the team taking home the first prize of $50,000.

Below you can find the group draw in full:

Maybe mouz, still, C9 should win this tournament, unless Skadoodle continues to play like shit. Also, no hope on UK scene, LDLC Alex?

Yea this tourney is for C9 renegades mouseports or LDLC. Any of them could win this.
2017-10-18 03:22
Don't think Renegades or LDLC can win, but they could make the finals. One of C9/mouz should take this easy or disband tbh.

Renegades can definitely win this - they are very solid after NAF joined them - that jayzwalkings mas making them trash, but he's luckily gone ;)
2017-10-18 09:50
I really hope they win, but they need to learn to anti-eco real quick if they want a chance at taking this. If they can and play some consistent CS they might do it.

I could see LDLC picking it up, but not if c9 or mouz make it to finals. Need some legit bo3 upsets this tourney for c9 or mouz not to take it.

No, I don't understand why Group A only has teams that are competing in NA while Group B has all the European teams + NRG. Holy shit, NRG are 99.9% fucked probably...
2017-10-18 01:51
So swap C9 and Clg with Ldlc and big, and the outcome will be the same lmfao. Only difference is C9 will probably trash Nrg even harder than big or ldlc would.

United Kingdom craZy_y0
I just feel bad for NRG having to play all the European teams. Not necessarily worried with their placing really, I know it'll probably be the same if C9 and CLG were swapped with LDLC and BIG.
2017-10-18 02:43
Yea sure, but still Mouse and C9 will 100% top their groups.
