GODSENT qualify for WESG EU & CIS Regional Finals

GODSENT have booked their spot at the WESG EU & CIS Regional Finals with a 2-1 victory over passions.

With one place at the European & CIS finals on offer, GODSENT and passions battled it out in the first semi-final of WESG Sweden 2017 after beating TEAM5 and Crowns, respectively, in the quarter-final stage.

The series kicked off on Cobblestone, where GODSENT cruised to a 12-3 lead after denying their opponents the chance to string any rounds together. After losing the pistol round, passions put their foot down and reduced the deficit to 13-8, but then Fredrik "freddieb" Buö's men regained control of proceedings and locked down the map at 16-9.

freddieb is one step closer to making it to his second WESG World Finals

The next map, Mirage, was the polar opposite, with passions taking 13 rounds into the second half following a stellar CT display. GODSENT still tried to get back into the game, but they merely picked up one round as Jonatan "Devilwalk" Lundberg's men ran out 16-3 victors.

The decider map was Overpass, where, after a close 8-7 first half, GODSENT ran away with the lead on the Terrorist side, with Simon "twist" Eliasson finishing the map on 34 kills.

I hoped that with two new players, maybe the team chemistry would finally be there but it doesn't look like it is. I say boot Doplan. He's not a bad player but he just looks lost. Everyone else fits pretty well. I would go as far as to say even getting Pauf back would be better at this point, at least he could play for the team.
