tabz steps down from Japaleno
Simon "tabz" Feldt is no longer a member of Japaleno, the player has announced on Social Media.
Last weekend, Japaleno went out of the Europe Minor closed qualifier after three games following losses to Heroic, NiP and Kinguin. This week, they were eliminated from the WCA Europe Main Qualifier at the hands of Gambit before being defeated by fnatic in the semi-finals of the Swedish WESG qualifier.
Stating that AWPing is his "comfort zone", the Swedish player added that he was not entirely happy with the role that Japaleno had given him. He also revealed that he passed up an offer to play in China as an AWPer after Japaleno invited him to play in the DreamHack Open Denver qualifiers.
"I felt out of place since the beginning, but I told the guys that I could adapt and that in the end I would learn." Simon "tabz" Feldt wrote.
"I've played around 30-40 officials since I said that and I still haven't found my place. […] I've proved them wrong, I didn't learn because of more experience […] and my way of adapting to rifling took longer than expected."
The player also added that he will be looking "for another team in any region as a main AWPer".
With this move, here is how Japaleno's roster currently looks:
