North Academy qualify for WESG EU & CIS Finals

North Academy have secured their place at the WESG EU & CIS Regional Finals after defeating Tricked 2-0 (16-13 on Overpass, 16-5 on Cobblestone).

The first semi-final of WESG 2017 Denmark saw Tricked battle it out against North Academy following their victories over Odense and OPAA, respectively, in the quarter-final stage of the qualifier.

With the most kills (44), mertz was on fire throughout the series

The series began on North Academy's map pick, Overpass, with Daniel "mertz" Mertz and co. winning eleven rounds in a row as Terrorists after losing the first pistol and the following ecos. Down 11-4, Tricked still put up a fight by hitting their 13th-round on the board, but their opponents did not let them complete the comeback.

Despite Cobblestone being Tricked's map pick, there was little that Lucas "Lukki" Pilheden and his team could do to stop North Academy. Starting out as Counter-Terrorists, Nicklas "gade" Gade's squad got to half-time with a 12-3 lead, and, from that point, they easily locked down the map, 16-5, to secure their place at the European & CIS finals.

BLAST Series, occuring on the same days as barcelona offline wesg european qualifier. Same reason why G2 and NiP are not playing wesg, same reason why rain can't play with norway (FaZe also at Blast)
2017-10-21 13:58
Why would they choose blast over wesg? Isnt wesg going to have like 1.5million prizepool like last year?

Lol. I'd pull out from blast for that money in tier 2 tournament xD Seriously tho teams like ukraine and russian are going to be best in wesg xD

Why the fuck would you miss a chance to play at a 1.4 mil event to play some blast pro series shit?
2017-10-21 14:27
Because Blast Pro Series is in Denmark, they will get much more out of playing that in their own country I am sure.
