TyLoo edge out Flash for a Major Qualifier spot

TyLoo defeated Flash in the consolidation final at the Asia Minor 2-1 (16-6 Inferno, 12-16 Cache, 16-14 Cobblestone), securing a top two spot and a ticket for the ELEAGUE 2018 Major Main Qualifier.

Andrew "Kaze" Khong and QiFang "Karsa" Su opened up the first map of the series, Inferno, with a couple of kills on both the pistol round and the followup anti-eco. However, as TYLOO came in with the early buy thanks to their pistol round bomb plant, KunHua "LOVEYY" Bai's side was able to take control on the Terrorist side of their map pick.

TYLOO then had a run of 11 Terrorist side rounds in a row, finishing the half 12-3 up in the end. Flash did their best to make a comeback by taking the second pistol, but couldn't even close out the two anti-pistol rounds as Vladyslav "bondik" Nechyporchuk picked up three with a combination of a CZ-75 and a stolen AK47 (13-5). TYLOO then had no issues closing out the remaining three rounds on the CT side, making the map one score 16-6.

TyLoo came back from a 11-4 deficit on the last map to secure a Main Qualifier spot

The second map, Cache, had Flash show off some of their own T-side domination. After a 5-1 start, YuLun "Summer" Cai and Kaze resolved a 2v2 after plant to deal a crucial blow to TYLOO's economy. That eased it up for Karsa's team and they ran away with the first half. It was 11-1 when dd picked up a double entry to start a spurt of three round wins for his team, ending the half 11-4.

It looked like the second map was done and dusted as Flash picked up another pistol round, extending the lead to 13-4. Luis "peacemaker" Tadeu's team held their composure, though, and utilized a lot of slow rounds and A executes to claw their way back into the map. Flash struggled to cope with that, and their low economy didn't help. They finally found a solution as the score came to 14-12 and got to match point with a team ace, finishing the series shortly after.

Summer and LOVEYY shined in the pistol round on Cobblestone, but it was Kaze who was the star in the first half of the third map. The Malaysian picked up an ace with the MAG-7 in the anti-eco, farming up money for the AWP and then farming up kills with the big green gun. Flash shortly took the 7-1 lead, while bondik picked up two key kills in round 9 to get something back for his squad.

TYLOO managed a few rounds in a row there, making it 7-4, but Kaze, came back into it with the AWP, secured some openings, and broke the 20 kill mark as his team to finished the half 11-4 up.

Hansel "BnTeT" Ferdinand stepped up when needed, getting the final two in the pistol retake to open up the map for his side. BnTeT and HaoWen "somebody" Xu both surpassed 20 kills shortly, as their team brought it back to 13-11, just a two round difference. Flash took the following round with a B execute, but couldn't tie it together as their following A push was well-read and closed out (14-13). At that point, Flash's economy was totally reset, and they opted for incomplete buys that didn't work out, letting TYLOO to complete the comeback and finish the map 16-14.

No reason to switch mo out for kaze....kaze is unproven and inconsistent and mo has shown he can step up against the best (sometimes). The only reason mo has fallen off is because he is now the IGL of Tyloo. Ever since fancy1 left (who was the previous IGL) mo dropped off the cliff, (dd dropped off as well since he initially took IGL role but then they switch to Mo for permanent IGL). If they're getting fancy1 back who can IGL again then mo will be back in form as probably the most reliable awper in asia region. All they really need to do is -DD +fancy1, and if mo can't get back in form, get savage who will probably have a resurgence if he's playing with a team that can actually achieve something besides 2nd or 3rd place in asian tournaments.

Maybe the players are good, but the organisation is crap. And let's be honest without BnTeT they wouldn't even make it thru the groupstage.

The thing is Renegades is actually a good team, they just need to get constantly good in their matches and don't count on jks and Nifty, but NAF was a great addition, I think they will find their new form soon and show up at the Offline Qualifier. Tyloo on the other hand can't really compete with EU/NA/CIS in Tier1. They maybe managed sometimes to win but nothing really important and they probably say good bye from the Offline Qualifier 0 - 3, maybe 1 - 3. Good luck to Renegades.

Tyloo will all their firepower and current roster with bondik probably has a better chance of upsetting tbh. They looked sharp against faze (who at the time was by far the best) and they finally have a legitimate tier 1 (super)star (and best player in asia) in BnTeT to rally behind and the others have proven they CAN (sometimes) compete with the best of them (thank god hz is gone). The only problem for them is that regardless of their addition of their new firepower, they lost a big piece in fancy1 (who was a solid player while being a IGL for Tyloo) and mo has fallen off the cliff since he took IGL role and DD still being inconsistent as ever. But we all know that RNG roster with this current core of aussies will never achieve anything but disappointment (maybe 20th time is a charm?) while I can actually see a slight chance of Tyloo sneaking into the major and surprising people (and making other chinese teams consider bribing decent international imports with money).

well I hope kaze can perform like he is while being IGL because the only reason you see this "shit mo" is because he now has to be IGL for the team.

Mo is leading the team decently, he has only fallen off since he has been the permanent IGL of Tyloo. Can kaze even IGL or hope to be consistent (something he can't even do now without IGLing) or at this level while IGLing for Tyloo? Because you're trying to replace a awper who been proven on the international scene and has to deal with IGLing and doing it well enough for an inconsistent awper who has never proven anything and can't IGL....NA obese cracker logic smh
