Liquid crush NRG; to Americas Minor playoffs

With a convincing 16-5 victory over NRG on Inferno, Liquid have secured their spot in the Americas Minor playoffs.

Taking place in Toronto, Canada, the Americas Minor saw Liquid and NRG move on to the Group A winners' match after defeating TeamOne and Complexity, respectively, in the opening round of the event.

The North-American derby took place on Inferno, with Liquid picking up the T-side pistol after executing B through CT spawn. Thanks to a 2v5 clutch from Peter "stanislaw" Jarguz and Jonathan "EliGE" Jablonowski in the next round, Liquid managed to increase their lead to 3-0.

Liquid are one step closer to making it to the Major Qualifier

Liquid kept breaching NRG's defence, forcing their opponents to change their style to find a way to counter the Terrorists. In the seventh round, NRG came close to bagging their first round thanks to a triple-kill from Jacob "FugLy" Medina, but the 22-year-old could not win the decisive 1v1 against Russel "Twistzz" Van Dulken.

Liquid's offense was simply relentless, limiting NRG to just two rounds in the half. Nick "nitr0" Cannella's men carried that momentum into the second half, and despite losing an anti-eco after securing the pistol round, they would easily lock down the map at 16-5.
