niki1 leaves Windigo; v1c7oR joins on trial
Nikolay "niki1" Pantaleev has stepped down from Windigo's roster, with Viktor "v1c7oR" Dyankov joining the team on trial, it has been revealed.
The announcement was made on Twitter by Windigo CEO Maksym Bednarskyi, who added that the player requested to be released from his contract due to personal reasons.
The news comes as a huge surprise as the Bulgarian team had signed for Windigo only days ago after spending weeks on the lookout for an organisation to represent.
The former Outlaws team made their first appearance under Windigo, a Ukraine-based organisation, at the Europe Minor, in Bucharest, where they went out last of their group following defeats to Envy and GODSENT.
Viktor "v1c7oR" Dyankov had been assessing his options since the disbandment of MK, Bulgaria's most successful CS:GO squad, whose notable achievements include an ESEA Global Challenge title and second-place finishes at the Minor leading into MLG Columbus and at Copenhagen Games 2016.
Windigo's roster now looks as follows:
