Tainted Minds to replace 5POWER at ZEN League S2 Finals
Tainted Minds will replace 5POWER at the upcoming ZEN League Season 2 Finals, the event's organisers have revealed.
5POWER had qualified for the event after finishing in second place in the Asia round-robin stage, but visa issues will force the Chinese team to miss the competition.
Tainted Minds, who recently added former Renegades member Yaman "yam" Ergenekon to their squad, placed third in the ESL ANZ Championship following a three-way tiebreaker with Grayhound and Athletico.
The Fergus "ferg" Stephenson-coached team will be looking to build on their recent success at the AOC CyberGamer Spring Finals, which they won after beating Grayhound 3-0 in the final.
The ZEN League Season 2 Finals will take place from November 17-18 at the ESL Studios, in Sydney, with 30,000 AUD (~$23,000) on offer. The event was originally scheduled to take place last month in Melbourne, but a schedule conflict with the Asia Minor forced ESL to change the dates of the tournament, which will feature a double-elimination bracket.
The final team list for the Australian event is the following:
