ESL Pro League North America brought to an end, LAN finalists found

With today's matches being played out, the North American division of ESL Pro League Season 6 has been concluded.

After over two months of action, the sixth ESL Pro League season has been played out. Finishing first in the league, with 20 wins and six losses, is OpTic. The European side had a free pass in the matchup that decided the pole position going into the LAN, against SK, since the Brazilian squad could not play as they were returning to NA from the Brazilian WESG qualifier.

friberg and co. secured a first place finish in EPL NA

Alongside the two aforementioned teams, Liquid, NRG and Misfits earned LAN spots, while the surprise of the online stage is Luminosity, who outplaced the likes of CLG and Cloud9 to book a spot in Odense, Denmark, next month.

At the bottom of the standings are Immortals and Rogue, who will be fighting for an ESL Pro League season 7 spot through relegation, and Ghost, who are automatically demoted to the next season of MDL.

You can find the final North American ESL Pro League standings below:

1. Europe OpTic - spot at the finals

The EPL LAN finals seeding system has been changed for this season, and will not be based on the online placings like it was in the past. This time around, we will see the winners of each division, fnatic and OpTic, placed in opposite groups. After that, they will both pick a team to place in the opposite group, with the then picked teams selecting two more teams. The sequence will continue until both of the groups are filled.

2017-11-12 10:17
Same happened with vp, only difference being IMT were actually good online before the dh drama D:
2017-11-12 11:49
it.s not their fault they had players with no character....they fucked up IMT chances as an organization...they had legendary status but now they have to take it from the start again cuz the twins wanted to play with kng aka Mike Tyson....sooo from major finalists to relegation when they have only one player from that core...IMT should sell them to crapiest organization,or an org that wont be a threat to anybody...cuz IMT is losing more money and basically fans

This LAN lineup is arse. If I see NRG qualify over another good team again, I'm gonna scream.
2017-11-12 07:23
Funny thing is NRG qualify for almost all the lans (except majors) but always fail hard once at lan. I'm not sure they have ever even won a map at a big lan.

coL dodged a huge bullet, but on the other hand Misfits is playing very well. I really hope they win it.
2017-11-12 07:48
they didn't dodge any bullet. If they had played together as well as they did towards end of the tour-no they'd have qualified. Better to come.

2017-11-12 08:22
Pressure probably got to them.
2017-11-12 08:29
I think it's kinda funny because a team who couldn't win or simply even take Splyce into OT once in 2 matches did better than C9.

NRG Mistifs Luminosity Optic this teams from NA division are going to 700.000k LAN final nice joke meanwhile in EU teams like G2 cant quali fuck you ESL and your ONLINE dogshit league !
2017-11-12 09:53
Optic deserve it
2017-11-12 10:54
they fail in pure TIER4 minor quali to secure LAN spot but ofc they deserve to play in 700.000k tournamnet just beauty of ONLINE games
2017-11-12 10:58
They lost to Envy and SS. Both great teams
2017-11-12 11:15
They won the minor qualifier. The came 3rd in the minor LAN and missed the major qualifier, behind NV and SS, both teams better than half of NA EPL. EU scene is just way too stacked and NA has no depth at all. EU 8 spots, NA 4 would be better. Same with minors, EU 4 spots, NA 2, CIS 1 and Asia 1.
2017-11-12 11:17
2017-11-12 13:30
I think CIS don't deserve a spot, they can do like SA where the winner of open brings a spot on NA minor
2017-11-12 15:43
It's funny to read this kind of comment every season... G2 is a top 5 team in the world, but could not qualify because THEY MANAGED TO GET LESS POINTS THAN FUCKING HELLRAISERS. And btw, EPL is about the best 6 from America clashing with the best 6 from Europe, not the 12 best teams in the world. The idea to reduce NA spots is pure cringe.
2017-11-13 00:07
You forget that they are Online Raisers and btw your team lost against Ghost and CLG HyperLuL
2017-11-13 19:06
I don't have a team, sorry. And I'm not complaining about SK's campaign. They played enough to qualify, and that's it...

i love how one of the teams making the finals by going through the NA league literally doesn't feature a single american player lmao
2017-11-12 14:55
fnatic picked Lumi Optic picked Hellraiser Fnatic picked NiP Optic picked NRG Fnatic picked misfit Optic picked North Fnatic picked Faze Optic picked Liquid Fnatic picked SK Optic picked Astralis Group A: Fnatic,SK,Faze,NiP,Misfit,Lumi Group B: Optic,North,Astralis,Liquid,NRG,hellraiser GG ESL,i dont know why NRG,Misfit, lumi are here, they are all tier 3 team and they have nothing to do in Tier 1 LAN finals. Should be 8 slot for EU,4 for NA
2017-11-12 15:27
the team they pick goes into the other group, so fnatic wouldn't pick luminosity
2017-11-12 15:52
1) they pick the teams for the other group 2) after that, the picked teams are the ones who follow the sequence, not the first places
