Lucas "steel" Lopes has been transferred to Liquid, Immortals and the American organization revealed on social media. The Brazilian player has replaced Peter "stanislaw" Jarguz on the starting roster and will make his debut tomorrow at IEM Oakland.
Peter "stanislaw" Jarguz departs Liquid's active roster after nine months, when he arrived from OpTic to bring leadership to the team. Later this year, however, Nick "nitr0" Cannella took up in-game leading while the Canadian player started focusing on lurking.
Meanwhile, Lucas "steel" Lopes's former team, Immortals, have been ridden with roster issues ever since Vito "kNgV-" Giuseppe was released. The team then lost Henrique "HEN1" Teles and Lucas "LUCAS1" Teles, who went on to create a new squad alongside Lincoln "fnx" Lau and Bruno "bit" Lima, as well as Ricardo "boltz" Prass to SK later on. The organization has now lost the remaining player of their original roster signed in June 2016.
It is unclear what the future of Immortals will look like, as they missed IEM Oakland due to visa issues on multiple players' part. It is rumored that Caio "zqkS" Fonseca and Lucas "destiny" Bullo have been denied P1 visas and thus are unable to enter the United States.
steel will not be allowed to play at the ELEAGUE Major's Main Qualifier with Liquid due to the Major cycle's roster rules. Steve Perino, the organization's general manager, has revealed that Wilton "zews" Prado will step into the roster for the tournament in Atlanta taking place in January.
Liquid now have:
Wilton "zews" Prado (coach)
steel will debut at IEM Oakland, which is set to begin tomorrow with the group stage taking place in Burbank, California. Liquid are placed in Group B alongside FaZe, G2, Gambit, Renegades, and OpTic.
