Tempo Storm eye Immortals duo - Report

Tempo Storm have expressed an interest in Immortals duo João "horvy" Horvath and Bruno "shz" Martinelli, according to a report from theenemy.com.br.

The future of Immortals' CS:GO section is currently the source of conjecture following the departure of longtime member Lucas "steel" Lopes - the last remaining member of the line-up that placed second at PGL Major Krakow.

Reports in Brazil suggest that Tempo Storm have sounded the possibility of signing the Immortals duo, who would link up with Paulo "land1n" Felipe, Denis "dzt" Fischer and Alef "tatazin" Pereira. With these changes, Tempo Storm's most recent additions, Ricardo "s1" Shinji and Lucas "YJ" Yuji, would be on their way out of the team.

shz and horvy are on Tempo Storm's list

According to ESPN Esports Brasil, one of the Immortals' players on Tempo Storm's wishlist has expressed his wish to stay with the organisation and to rebuild the team from the ground-up, potentially with an international roster.

João "horvy" Horvath officially joined Immortals only in October after a lengthy visa application process that lasted several months. Bruno "shz" Martinelli signed for the North American organisation at the start of the month after a brief spell with Tempo Storm. They are the only Immortals members currently allowed to reside in the United States as both Lucas "DeStiNy" Bullo and Caio "zqkS" Fonseca are facing visa issues, which forced the team to withdraw from IEM Oakland.

You wouldn't put the trio that carried to 2nd place at a major + fnx who is probably the best Brazilian player after fallen and coldzera in the top 15? Just a hater I suppose.
2017-11-18 20:00
No I dont put the trio, a player that didnt play an official match in the last 6 (?) months and bit1, who doesnt seem to be a good fragger, in the top 15 especially given they wont even play much anyway as they have no spots in EPL and ECS. Just a realist I suppose.

Bit1 is not a top fragger, but he is an IGL. And he is pretty good at that. FNX is a top player if he wants to put the time to it. His real problem is motivation. They might no play much in the beginning, but they are still a very solid team on paper. The only doubt is if they can stick together for long.
2017-11-18 20:42
You also have to keep in mind what tournaments will they play? Sure they have the major but they have no EPL/ECS spots (they would have to start in ESEA Premier/Main/IM (not sure) and ECS D-League), wont get invited to premier lans because of no results and its questionable if DH lans will invite them after Montreal.

All valid points. From a pure talent stand point though, these guys have the potential to be top 15, easily. A season in ESEA MDL and a few invites to some smaller 100,000 NA LANs is enough of a sample size to go off of. I would expect them to crush MDL and I would expect them to receive multiple invites to LANs where teams like CLG, NRG, and Misfits are attending. I don't think DH will bar them from future tournaments but they definitely could. Best case scenario, after 6 months they've earned an EPL spot and have attended and placed top 4 at multiple NA LANs. There's also the possibility that they are given Optic's spot if the team moves overseas. Worst case scenario, they flame out after a couple of months and don't earn an EPL spot while missing out on more LAN invitations than they should. Fnx doesn't want to play, bit1 doesn't hold his own, and it leaves the trio on an everlasting search for 2 more players that results in them being nothing more than a middling NA team.
2017-11-18 21:38
If I would look just at the talent then yes, for 1-2 months they can be really good getting top 4 at least in the events they attend but the problem is will the form stay? I wouldnt be so sure about them dominating ESEA Premier. Sure they "should" do it but it depends on how serious they take online matches especially against so many shitter teams. Gambit and VP for example also failed to get at least to EPL regelation (ofc NA is easier than EU but still). Agree with the rest you said.

Invites come and go. That will depend of their appeal to the public and results, this major is more important because it will set the bar for their entire season (and career probably). If they suck it's probably gg, if they do well, they will probably be the NA Gambit, that only starts getting invites after doing something at the major. Also, will they get sponsors to stick to their team after the major? cuzz the trio has a bad rep, fnx bad rep, bit1 most people don't know him and don't care. Even the brazilian community doesn't support them in total. So they NEED to show up at the major (literally) or they are fucked.
2017-11-18 21:44
I think they will only get invited to premier events when they get to the final. Gambit made top 8 three times before winning the major and they never got invited to any ESL events. The next problem is that ex-Immortals is a completely new team. Their results with Immortals wont count at the time of the major because it was too long ago. Its really hard for me to see them being able to get invited. Also agree with the part about sponsors.
