GODSENT top Group A in Barcelona

GODSENT have booked the first spot in the quarter-finals of the WESG EU & CIS Regional Finals after topping Group A with a perfect 4-0 record.

The Swedish team, who are attending the event with two stand-ins, Hampus "hampus" Poser and Jacob "pyth" Mourujärvi, came through their group unscathed despite a slow start to their campaign as they were made to work hard to beat Endpoint in the opening round of matches.

With Simon "twist" Eliasson and Joakim "disco doplan" Gidetun averaging above 1.50 ratings, GODSENT finished ahead of Danylo "Zeus" Teslenko's Ukraine, with NOREG coming in third place.

GODSENT are through to the quarter-finals

The biggest surprise of the group was the fact that North Academy looked well off the pace as they finished at the foot of the table without a single victory and a -36 round difference - which does not bode well for their chances at next week's DreamHack Winter.

Below you can find the final standings for Group A:

1. Sweden GODSENT - Quarter-finals + World Finals spot
2. Ukraine Ukraine - Promotion stage + World Finals spot
3. Norway NOREG - Promotion stage + World Finals spot
4. United Kingdom Endpoint
5. Denmark North Academy

Group B, featuring the likes of BIG and Space Soldiers, will start shortly, with Fatih "gob b" Dayik's side taking on Nemiga in the first round of fixtures.

Should be easy for godsent because they are tier1 team without any player moved into the roster for tournament... It's legit 5 player core... That's their key ;) That's why Ukraine is 2nd, they had only 3 guys from Navi

You do realize two of GODSENT's players only joined as STAND INs a few days ago, after znajder was released and dennis announced he was looking for a new team. They are not a 5 man core at all. And they are definitely not tier 1, they are tier 2 at BEST. They aren't even in HLTV's top 30 teams.
2017-11-24 01:12
except they have 2 stand ins since znajder was released and dennis was benched.
2017-11-24 01:19
u dumb fuck. GODSENT has two stand-ins North Academy was the only team in this group with a 5 man core. Endpoint had a 4 man core
