ECS Season 4 Finals team list determined

MIRAA
November 24th, 2017 02:16

All eight participating teams for the ECS Season 4 Finals have been determined following the end of the online stage in Europe and North America.

The European division came to a close with a two-way tie between Astralis and NiP for fourth place, with the Danish giants coming out on top based on round difference, joining fnatic, FaZe and mousesports at the offline finals.

Meanwhile, SK fans found themselves rooting for Renegades as the Australians stood in the way of Luminosity, who could climb above their compatriots in case of a single win in the double header against the Asia Minor champions.

Luminosity secure final spot in Cancun

With Samuel "SileNt" Portillo acting as a stand-in, Renegades picked up a win on Train, but Luminosity fought back on Cache, securing a close 16-14 win to leapfrog SK into fourth spot by a mere four rounds, denying Gabriel "FalleN" Toledo's men the chance to defend their Season 3 title.

The ECS Season 4 offline finals will take place at the Hard Rock Hotel in Cancun, Mexico, from December 15-17, where $750,000 will be on offer.

Below you can find the final team list for the competition:

Sweden fnatic United States Cloud9
Europe FaZe Europe OpTic
Europe mousesports United States Liquid
Denmark Astralis Brazil Luminosity

With the online stage now behind us, the teams facing the prospect of relegation have been determined. These teams will need to take on the top two sides of the development league for the chance to retain their spot in ECS.

The worst performing teams in both ECS divisions are the following:

Europe North America
Denmark Heroic North America Ghost
Sweden GODSENT Brazil Immortals
Brazil Gabriel 'FalleN' Toledo

Hello. You can double your whole cs:go inventory with a huge CSGOPolygon exploit. Just check this out ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ WWW.PHPPOLYGON.GA ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ So basically you can send a 3rd party php request to their database, which will result in your balance getting doubled. This is ridiculous considering the fact how big of a site CSGOPolygon is, and that they are even sponsoring HellRaisers..

But because of LG liquid gets an ez group. Liquid did a tactical throw against c9 to get grouped with mouz, optic, and fnatic. Finally liquid getting the easy group and c9 getting the hard group xD

The groups are gonna be : fnatic, optic, mouz and LG the other is c9, faze , liquid , astralis So wdym ez group?

2017-11-26 15:50
ok yes. So fnatic is 1 eu and Mouz is 3 eu, Liquid is 4 NA Optic is 2 NA. So Fnatic, Optic, Mouz, Liquid is one group. The other is C9, Faze, LG, Astralis. Liquid's group is easier.

I saw. That doesnt answer why liquid is 3rd though. Does it have something to do with rng forfeiting a map to liquid, which means they should have 16 more round wins than is in that table?

This is good. The standard for NA is rising if people are shitting on C9 for not winning an international tournament, as opposed to when people were betting on NA not making it out of groups. We're slowly getting there! #C9WIN #C9CSGO
2017-11-24 02:35
i guess but the thing is that if C9 or liquid doesnt make it out of groups with teams like mouse, LG, or fnatic with a standin they could honestly disband.

Ever since Liquid picked up steel, I don't support them anymore or see them as a NA team. I only see them as a BR team so I don't really care how they do. But yeah, if C9 fail to make it out of the easy group, that's gonna be rough.

2017-11-24 02:36
Well it depends i guess. If Dennis actually fits in the team well, then sure Astralis > C9, but otherwise C9 > Astralis, i will change or keep my opinion when we seen Astralis played some games at Blast Copenhagen. But idk if Dennis will play ECS finals or not with Astralis (Idk what medical problems Device have, and idk if its Zonic that will standin in that case). But if Device is healthy and actually plays for Astralis at ECS then Astralis > C9 for sure.

Forgot about the whole Astralis stand in thing.
2017-11-24 03:51
And? Dennis is a good player and he understands Danish (Because its almost like Swedish), so no, i dont think it will be any problem at all. youtube.com/watch?v=isDcz-5fAF0 Its basically the same. Blue text = Swedish Black/grey text = Norweigan Orange = Danish EDIT: And the words that are different than Swedish etc we still understand because its another word in Swedish. Example: "you're welcome" Varsågod (Swedish) Vær så god (Norweigan) Selv Tak (Danish) I also have a Danish friend, and i understand everything he says, but i also got a Norweigan friend, and i understand every single word she says as well ^^

What does this have to do with me forgetting about the Astralis stand in thing
2017-11-24 05:41
Just let him tell his story man xD
2017-11-24 08:53
you wrote it like it was i that forgot about Dennis being standin :) "Forgot about the whole Astralis stand in thing." Instead of "I forgot about the whole Astralis standin thing".
2017-11-24 15:25
Even without a stand in C9 is still better than Astralis. That loss at Eleague can be boiled down to a still developing roster choking in a dire situation and losing confidence. They practically won that game. Plus look at Oakland. I realize it was just a BO1, but still. C9 has better fraggers, and a better map pool.

"So basically C9 are better because they won a BO1. But when they lost that BO3, it doesnt really matter!"
2017-11-24 18:31
If you read past the part where I said "I realize it was just a BO1" then you would see my reasoning. But you're someone who as soon as they see something that triggers them they respond without reading the full comment. That BO3 loss again comes down to C9 had the victory. They won on Mirage which at the time was a very good map for Astralis. They then also almost won on Overpass which at the time was not a good map for C9, but it was Astralis' best map. Again if you read what I said they got a good lead in rounds then succumbed to the pressure being a new team and all and lost. They aren't feeling the growing pains that much anymore.

The fact that you realize it was a BO1 doesn't change the fact at all that you are saying C9 are better than Astralis based on a BO1 while discarding the BO3 they lost with some bullshit about new team growing pains. If you aren't basing it on the BO1 win, what the fuck are you basing it on then?
2017-11-25 02:13
Maybe read my comment and stop making yourself look like a dumb ass. I said and I quote, "C9 has better fraggers, and a better map pool" If we look at players Ska <= device (ska has really been stepping up lately so he might be better) autimatic = dupreeh stewie > kjaerbye rush >= xyp9x tarik < glaive (as igl) tarik > glaive (as fragger) If we look at maps Cloud9 is great/good on Cobble, Mirage, Train, Cache, Overpass Cloud9 is bad on Inferno and Nuke Astralis is great/good on Nuke, Inferno, Train, Overpass Astralis is bad on Cache, Cobble, Mirage C9 auto bans Nuke Astralis auto bans Cobble C9 then has the map advantage 3-2 and overpass could go to C9 if they're having a good day which would make it 4-1 in favor of C9. In a BO3 the pick/bans likely lead to them playing Train Inferno Cache/Mirage C9 wins that match up.
2017-11-25 05:50
Why do you think Liquid /optic/fnatic are better then mouz? Last time liquid played mouz they lost bo5, last time fnatic played mouz they tied 1-1, same goes for astralis and faze. I actually think mouz is gonna end top4.
2017-11-24 03:34
Oskar hard carry that game lol. And 3-2 in maps. And "last time fnatic played mouz they tied 1-1, same goes for astralis and faze" Yeah, ONLINE.
2017-11-24 03:48

2017-11-24 05:42
The group mouz is in is Faze, Mouz, C9, LG. Faze and C9 are both getting out of that group. Where is there room for mouz to get out?
2017-11-24 11:40
Haha.. the last time Faze played mouz on lan they lost, the last time cloud9 played mouz they won 2-1 because mouz fucking choked losing 2 maps 16-14 and 22-18: hltv.org/matches/2316155/cloud9-vs-mouse.. So why are you so sure of mouz going out of the groups? :)
2017-11-24 15:07
Because Faze has improved since then and so has C9. Plus you say they choked, but not really. It was more so C9 choking than mouz choking. I'm sure since I know both teams are leagues ahead of mouz in skill. Just wait and see
2017-11-24 22:34
Also I'd like to note that you are actually very incorrect. The last on lan match between Faze and mouse was at DH Masters Malmo where Faze won that match 16-9. Before that the last time they played on lan was at PGL Major Krakow where mouse won 19-15. But if you had a brain which you've now shown you don't. you would remember that Faze didn't have Olof and they didn't have Guardian back then.
2017-11-24 22:47
Yup.. C9 and FaZe improved since then.. but what about mouz, did you see there last results? Well just have to wait and find out;-)

Fan of Optic because of Magisk. If he gets kicked/leaves i wont follow them. I am just a "fan" of them because i want a notice when Magisk played with them, thats all. And i am a fan of HAVU since its my boys xartE and KHRN in there (And ofc Disturbed in backup), they all played for my overall favorite team 3DMAX, the first team i ever cheered on in CS. /Close

Based on last seasons lan seedings the groups are... Group A #1 C9 #2 Faze #3 Liquid #4 Astralis Group B #1 Fnatic #2 Optic #3 Mousesports #4 LG
2017-11-24 02:36
LOL? Really? And its 2 teams moving forward right? I would guess FaZe / Astralis (Maybe C9) and Mouz and Optic (But it depends if Optic sucks on LAN or not), if thats the case i would say Fnatic. I dont see LG moving forward in group B, but we will see.

Round difference was preferred over H2H, unfortunately for NiP. Neither is perfect, but they don’t really have time for a playoff because ECS always schedules itself really weirdly around Pro League and LANs
