SK joins Astralis in the BLAST Pro Series grand final

Astralis and SK have booked their spots in the BLAST Pro Series Copenhagen 2017 grand final after the fifth round of the group stage.

FaZe, who were battling for a place in the BLAST Pro Series grand final, started off the match by picking up the CT pistol. Thanks to a triple-kill from Peter "dupreeh" Rasmussen in the following round, however, it was Astralis who quickly got a third on the board.

The Danish team went on to increase their lead to 5-1, but then FaZe finally got back to the game by bagging the next two rounds. Still, Lukas "gla1ve" Rossander's men called for a tactical pause, and, from that moment, lost only two to grab a 10-5 half-time lead.

FaZe could not make it to the event's grand final

FaZe began the second half with a pistol round win, and this time around they managed to follow that up with the anti-ecos. After losing the first gun round, FaZe were close to picking up the second, but Markus "Kjaerbye" Kjærbye denied them by finding the last two opponents in a 2v2 situation.

Finn "karrigan" Andersen's men did not want to throw in the towel, and won three rounds in a row to bring the deficit to a minimum, 11-12. Although FaZe then lost the next two, they still found a lifeline in the match, but Astralis got the best out of it and finished things off 16-14.

The matchup between North and SK was on Mirage. North, who started on the T-side, won the pistol round with a bomb defuse but lost a 5vs3 in the following round. Even though North trailed 5-2 at one point, they managed to go ahead and win the half 8-7.

Valdemar "valde" Bjørn Vangså's team won the first three rounds in the second half and led 11-7 but SK picked up five rounds in a row to lead 12-11. SK won three post-plant situations to earn three match points. The Brazilians won the game 16-12 and moved on to the grand final in Copenhagen as FaZe lost to Astralis and the Brazilians finished second in the group.

2017-11-25 17:51
Way too easy for SK Gaming, the best team that has ever existed in all versions of Counter Strike. This record-breaking machine, also known as "team", is composed by: Gabriel Toledo - FalleN: The best sniper and In-Game Leader that ever existed in this game that people call Counter Strike. When the enemies press TAB and see his name on the other team, they instantly choke and lose all their composure, hence losing the match, just ask Team Liquid and they will tell you all about this. Fernando Alvarenga - fer: The best player of 2017 so far. His play style is so good that the enemies can't even see where he is on the map. If you think Fer is in one place and you go and check that place you'll find out that he's not there and is actually behind you and by this time you have already been knifed and humiliated by the best lurker that ever played this game. Enemies choke just by seeing his model in-game, just ask TaZ and he will tell you more about it. Ricado Prass - boltz: Our fatty and cute guy as knowed as ‘boltão’ or ‘boltalha’ is back to the team since lil star felps was benched. His sprays are the best of the world, he may has german blood in his veins but he is not a cheater tho! Boltz can easily hold a bomb side by himself anytime anyday, spraying and collecting some kills like no one can! Also, this guy is a clutch monster.. enemies cry when they press TAB and see thats boltz left to play the clutch. Marcelo David - coldzera: Also known as GODZERA he is without a doubt the best player that ever played this game. Fallen is the best sniper and IGL, but Coldzera... Oh Coldzera, what can I even say about this man? He's like the Messi and CR7 of CS:GO, he's not from this planet. His aim is always on point, his game sense is impecable, he is also the smartest player that ever existed and the most humble one also, because a player of his skill level you'd think that he'd play as the team star or IGL, but no, he plays a support. But Cold (or GOD) can play any role and he'll still be better than 100% of the players. You know why? Because Coldzera has magic! Good players win titles, amazing players break records, Coldzera breaks the rules! You can stay with your stats that I'll stay with the magic! You prefer the stats, I prefer tha magic, I prefer COLDZERA! Epitácio de Melo - TACO: You might get fooled by his stats not being so good as his other 4 teammates, but just watch any SK match and you will see why TACO is the best entry fragger in the world and best solo B player ever. He's so versatile, you can give him any weapon, even an AWP, and put him alone in any B bombsite of any map and he'll humiliate all the players of the other team by his amazing skill and outstanding positioning as well as his out-of-this-world game sense. He's one of the smartest players that ever played this game and you know that. As a Terrorist just put him in front of the line and he'll win dominate the bombsite all by himself, and even die so that his team can plant the bomb! Tell me if this isn't the best thing a player could do? Give his life and give up having good stats so that his team can succeed? I can't hold back the tears anymore, damn my keyboard is all wet now... I'll have to stop here. TACO <3 And this is why this is an easy match for the best team that ever existed.

Nope I just think the format was really terrible. I loved the epicenter format and obv faze didn’t make it there so it’s not about my favorite team but the fact that this terrible bo1points system is awful. Edit: Not to mention I feel that astralis and g2 should have been taken out for the final round if they were 1st and 6th place or faze and sk should have played a deciding round for the finals spot considering head to head faze had won even if sk had more points just my two cents though

SK dont deserve to be in the final for once....It's sad because they will steal this trophy but that doesnt tell the whole story
2017-11-25 19:34
Who deserves then? Lol Cry is free man.... It's a system based by points and rounds... the 2 teams deserve to be there.
2017-11-25 20:14
How the fuck do you want me to seriously argue with you when you're a brazilian that still use that "cry is free" meme?
2017-11-25 20:16
cmon... Cry is free like you said is a meme/joke Try to take it as it is = a joke/meme however I made an argument below the joke. That it's a system by points and rounds, in this format they deserved it. simple like that. Do you think different? who deserved more than SK and Astralis?
2017-11-26 17:38
i was actually saying that BECAUSE this system is broken
2017-11-26 18:07
Every major sports (most of them) have different types of systems/competitions. Look at your French Football for example. You have the main league LIGUE 1 (by points and everyone plays everyone 2x) and you have COUPE DE FRANCE also (playoffs and different system). Both competitions PSG plays. You can have an opinion that you don't like this format, but I think it's nice and positive for the CSGO Scene to have different kinds of format/system competitions during the year (and not always the same). We don't need to put a lot of importance to the event (regarding world ranking if you like) but I like watching something different from time to time. And IMO I think both teams deserved to win the tournament, but SK had the extra strength/power to win. That's what makes them incredible to me (there aren't any lost games to SK.. the best comeback team of all time) What do you think?
2017-12-06 18:56
You took 2 weeks to make this reply?
2017-12-06 19:08
hahaha I really laughed hard and loud (no sarcasm) good one I'm not that active as you can notice.. lol.. could you answer the thread? lol ;)
2017-12-07 22:48
Well, yeah its good to have some change in the format to make sure it doesnt start to get boring but BO1 only group stage are really bad for the people that want to see the real better teams advance,it depends on what you like in CS,seeing underdogs or weaker teams upset and go to play off thanks to this kind of format or having the absolute best teams in playoffs to see the best cs possible even tho it will most likely always be the same teams
