Former WeMade FOX member Bum-Ki "peri" Jung has decided to retire from competitive CS:GO, with ex-MVP Project star Hyun-Pyo "XigN" Lee taking his place in MVP PK, HLTV.org has learned.
The sudden news comes straight after the South Korean squad finished third at the IeSF World Championship 2017 and last place at the recent ZEN League Season 2 Finals this month.
Bum-Ki "peri" Jung and co. had an average showing in CS:GO after joining the competitive scene in June 2016 compared to their golden 1.6 days, where the core of the lineup won WEM 2010 over SK Gaming.
Although still a dominant force in the Asian scene during their return to Counter-Strike, the MVP organization did not reveal the reason behind peri's retirement, who has been one of the weaker performers on the team statistically.
MVP PK has secured the services of Hyun-Pyo "XigN" Lee, who has been out of action since the disbandment of MVP Project at the end of July this year. He will now reunite with his former MVP Project teammates, Hae-Sung "HSK" Kim and Soon-Woo "Argency" Kwon.
