SK and Misfits have defeated North and NRG, respectively to kick off their ESL Pro League Season 6 Finals campaign on the right foot.
SK started off their first match in Odense by picking up their Terrorist pistol with a B execution and following that up with the subsequent anti-ecos. North then won the next two rounds, but they could not equalize the score as Marcelo "coldzera" David and Ricardo "boltz" Prass pulled off a 2v4 clutch in the sixth round, resetting the Danes' economy.
It was from that point on that SK got control of the game, constantly breaking through North's defense, even when up against full buys. In the 11th round, the Danish squad got back in the game in part thanks to a triple-kill from Philip "aizy" Aistrup in a retake situation on A.
Still, the Brazilians instantly replied with another round of their own, forcing Mathias "MSL" Lauridsen to call a much-needed tactical pause, which allowed North to reduce the deficit to 6-9 by half-time.
North began the second half with a fast B execution, but SK countered them with a tight defense, setting themselves up for a 12-6 lead. And even though MSL's team then picked up their seventh round of the game, there was little that they could do to stop SK from locking down the map 16-7.

Misfits kicked off the North American clash on the right foot, securing their T-pistol to begin a five-round streak. NRG would not let their opponents keep on winning, however, and immediately responded with three straight rounds.
After that, both teams kept trading round until half-time, with Shahzeb "ShahZaM" Khan and co. coming out on top, 9-6, thanks to their initial lead.
Although NRG would fairly easily level up the score after winning the second pistol, Misfits got out to a 14-9 lead after securing the first full gun round. Damian "daps" Steele's team still tried to mount a comeback, but Misfits would not let that happen, locking down the map, 16-11.
