NRG take down North for their second win; OpTic defeat Misfits at the EPL Finals

NRG went strength for strength, taking down North with a 16-9 scoreline on Mirage, while OpTic picked up their second win of the tournament by beating Misfits.

NRG's pistol round win on Mirage gave the North American side a footing into the map against North, who were able to reply with a string of four rounds when the guns rolled in. However, the favorites in the matchup weren't able to keep up the pace moving on, as the combination of Cvetelin "CeRq" Dimitrov's AWPing and Vincent "Brehze" Cayonte's rifling proved tough to crack for the Danes.

NRG picked up two big wins on the first day of the EPL Finals

After moving on to the second half with a 9-6 lead, NRG continued their strong form by overruning the B site defense comprised of Mathias "MSL" Lauridsen and René "cajunb" Borg in the pistol round, going up 13-6 shortly. Philip "aizy" Aistrup's 4K in round 21 gave North a small lifeline, but Damian "daps" Steele's team was able to close it out shortly to more or less seal North's fate at the event.

A back and forth start to the matchup between Misfits and OpTic saw the two teams tie up the score at 4-4 before the European mixture was able to get back into the lead. Adam "friberg" Friberg's hat-trick of frags in round 9 kicked that off, and saw them finish the CT side of Overpass with a 10-5 scoreline.

OpTic's respectable lead started melting soon, as a 5-0 start by Sean "seang@res" Gares and co. allowed them to tie up the score at 10-10—with the team's AWPer Shahzeb "ShahZaM" Khan playing a big part in that comeback. However, Aleksi "allu" Jalli sealing a 1v2 in the following round, flanking the B site, was enough for his team to bounce back. From that point onwards, OpTic didn't drop a round, closing out the game 16-10.

Oh yea, he's probably the best coach in the cs scene,.... Maybe besides Zonic, but yes, I'm actually enjoying it to see him play.
2017-12-05 23:55
+1, he reminds me of GuardiaN in his early days in Na'Vi when he used to carry the shit outta them. Now imagine HR with -deadfox +CeRq. They would literally destroy so many overrated teams nowadays...

I don't like HR... So he's good in Nrg for now, but yes indeed, he deserves a better team.

Not really, more like bondik come back and deadfox gtfo
2017-12-05 23:57
Not really not really, HR need a solid sniper atm, because woxic is wasting his rifling skills on the AWP right now. Just look at the last few matches, he almost always AWPs over deadfox. Someone like CeRq would be a perfect fit for HR & ANGE1's loose calling style. A proactive AWPer is exactly what they need.

but woxic have been brought to hr as an awper. he isn't rifler tho. and deadfox went back his main role with addition pf woxic.
