SK defeat NiP; North beat OpTic in Odense
SK have picked up second win at the ESL Pro League Season 6 Finals after defeating NiP, while North their first with a victory over OpTic, both on Overpass.
SK kicked things off by winning the CT pistol, and followed that up with the anti-ecos and the first gun round. In the sixth round, NiP finally got on the board, picking up their first round on the board. Still, a 1v3 clutch from Epitacio "TACO" de Melo then reset the Swedes' economy.
Richard "Xizt" Landström called for two tactical pauses in the following three rounds, helping his team get back to the game in the 10th round. From that point, NiP kept pressing on SK, losing only one round until half-time to switch sides with a 6-9 half-time deficit.
Fredrik "REZ" Sterner opened up the second half with a quad-kill for NiP to secure the second pistol. Nevertheless, the Brazilians replied with a triumphant A execution, and went on to grab a 12-7 lead.
In the next round, Gabriel "FalleN" Toledo's team broke NiP's economy with a fast-paced B execution, and, from that point, they were simply too hot to handle, winning five straight rounds to hit match-point, and eventually finishing things off 16-9.

OpTic began their clash against North with the pistol win as CTs, but the Danes would immediately respond with a successful force-buy to turn things around, setting themselves up for a 4-1 lead. Although the European mixture then won the following round, North kept stringing rounds together for a dominant 8-2 lead.
OpTic finally got back to the game in the next round, and managed to reduce the deficit to 6-9 by half-time. Even though North started off the second half by securing the pistol round, OpTic won the following force-buy, earning them room to operate and get to a 8-10 score.
After that, however, Mathias "MSL" Lauridsen's men just continued to overwhelm OpTic's strategies, hitting match-point without any answer from their adversaries. Even though OpTic then reached their 11th round, North would close out the map with a triple-kill from Valdemar "valde" Bjørn Vangså in the following round.
