Misfits and SK have booked their spots in the ESL Pro League Season 6 playoffs after defeating NiP and NRG, respectively.
The match between Misfits and NiP was played on Overpass, with the Swedes securing a quick 3-0 after picking up the T-side pistol. Although the North Americans then won the first gun round, NiP grabbed the next two rounds to reach a 5-1 lead.
After levelling up the score, Misfits reset NiP's economy, and took advantage of that situation to get to the lead. From that point, Sean "seang@res" Gares' men kept shutting NiP down, losing just the last round of the half to secure a 10-5 score as CTs.
With an aggressive and nearly-flawless B execution, Misfits picked up the second pistol of the map. Although NiP then countered their opponents with a force-buy win, the North American team would not let them string any rounds together, and went on to secure a 13-7 lead.
Following two lackluster rounds, Misfits saw their economy get reset, forcing them to call for a tactical pause. They would then manage to hit 14-rounds with a B execution, but NiP did not back down and went on to bring the deficit to a minimum.
seang@res would then lead his team to win the following round with nothing but CZs, crushing the Swedes' economy to hit match-point. NiP still found a lifeline in the next round as Richard "Xizt" Landström found the first two entries, but Misfits prevailed and locked down the map, 16-13, to book their spot in the event's playoffs.

On Cache, the American clash kicked off with NRG grabbing a 3-1 lead despite SK winning the CT pistol. The Brazilians would then pick up their second round, but Damian "daps" Steele' men surprised the defense with three rounds in a row to pick up a 6-2 lead.
Following SK's three-round streak to reduce the deficit to 5-6, daps found three enemies with a Deagle to help his team win an eco-round. NRG would then lose two more rounds before winning the last of the half to switch sides with an 8-7 half-time lead.
In the second pistol, a double and a triple-kill from Ricardo "boltz" Prass and Fernando "fer" Alvarenga, respectively, set SK for a 10-8 lead. That moment marked the beginning of a nearly-flawless run from the Brazilian squad, who locked down the map, 16-9, to secure their place in the ESL Pro League Season 6 Finals playoffs.
