sergej announces break from gaming
HAVU star Jere "sergej" Salo has decided to take an undefined break from competitive gaming, the Finnish team has announced.
In a short statement, HAVU cite "personal reasons and lack of motivation" as the reasons for the 15-year-old to step down from the roster for an indefinite period of time, and described the decision as "a big setback" for the team and the organisation.
Jere "sergej" Salo has been part of HAVU since June, when he replaced Taneli "disturbed" Veikkola on the roster after rising through the ranks of the Finnish scene.
With sergej on the roster, HAVU won a number of domestic tournaments including NeSA, the ESPORTSM.fi Finals and the Nordic Championship Season 1, and attended the SL i-League Invitational #2 and the IeSF World Championship. The 15-year-old has been in great form throughout the year, averaging an impressive 1.25 Rating on LAN.
HAVU's squad has now been depleted to just four players, with the Finnish organisation due to announce a stand-in "shortly", it has been announced. The team currently has:
Jesse "KHRN" Grandell
Mikko "xartE" Välimaa
Aleksi "Aleksib" Virolainen
Otto "ottoNd" Sihvo (trial)
Taneli "disturbed" Veikkola (backup)
Toni "toNppa" Luhtapuro (coach)
