StarSeries i-League S4 announced, with $300,000 prize pool

Starladder has announced its fourth StarSeries i-League CS:GO event, to feature a $300,000 prize pool.

The event will take place from February 17-25 at the Kiev Cybersport Arena, which has hosted a number of StarLadder competitions in the past, with 16 of the world's best teams in attendance.

The prize pool has been kept the same from last season, which culminated with an offline event at the National Palace of Arts, also in Kiev, in April 2017. With Aleksi "allu" Jalli and Fabien "kioShiMa" Fiey still on the roster, FaZe won the event after beating Astralis in the final.

FaZe won the third StarSeries i-League event, in April

Eleven of the 16 slots will be filled through invites, while the remaining five places will be determined by regional qualifiers, to be held in Europe, North America and Asia.

Details about the Asian qualifier have already been confirmed by Starladder, with the other qualifiers due to be announced only in 2018 along with the invites.

Yeah but NiP shouldn't be top 5 at the end of the year because of 1 event
2017-12-28 10:07
You seem (mistakenly) to think that the ranking should reflect the whole year? It is ment to show the state right now, meaning that recent events matters more.

NiP failed to qualify for the major again, didn't manage to qualify for any recent events, and still they should be #4 because of 1 event they won recently?
2017-12-28 19:26
They qualified for the ESL PL Finals? What is more recent than that? Yeah they missed ECS, so did SK, I assume you think they don't deserve number one ranking then using the same logic?

They got rekt in group stage, and SK won like 3 big Lana right before...
2017-12-28 22:21
First you say they didn't qualify, I prove you wrong, then you change your reason to group stage exit. Way to move the goal post. Just say that you hate NIP and be done with it instead of making up stupid reasons that you will change when they get refuted.

??? I'm not saying you were wrong. I just made your point invalid after you made mine invalid. What's the point of an argument when you can't have your opinion changed?
2017-12-29 06:32
which is exactly what moving the goal post is, and it's not possible to discuss with ppl that use that tactic. Everytime someone refutes your position you just ignore that you ever had it and make up a new point. It's a never ending story. At least admit you where wrong, something like "that is true, guess I was wrong but I still feel that a group stage exit doesn't say much". But moving on then. Which team behind NIP do you feel deserve to be ahead and why?

Firstly, this is not at all what I was doing, and if you read carefully then you would've read that I wasn't, and secondly, I did admit that I was wrong by saying you were not, so whats your fucking point. Lastly, the teams I think should be above them are: Fnatic, Mouz, OpTiC and C9.
2017-12-29 16:42
No reasons? Fnatic seems to be on the rise but I'm not sure two semis should be higher than a win. Mouz, you complain that's NIP didn't qualify for events, but you want Mouz higher? They haven't played a big event in a very long time prior to ECS, is it the finals vs Faze that boosts them so much in your eyes? Optic, based on what? Online they have been great, but they also missed the major and has only quarterfinal results on big events. C9, can only win t2/3 events vs NA teams.

Mouz got 2nd at DH winter... OpTiC did only get quarterfinals, but at least they GOT to the fucking quarter final. C9, maybe you're right about that.
